Mike doesn't have an opinion on this, I think that's why he's asking. Because Mike essentially you are a proud American and your patriotism comes first before anything else, right? Not in a stereotypical way, but because you see a great value in US culture, right?

To try to respond, I think first there has to be socialism then capitalism, and neither are complete without the other. I think there is almost consensus on this personally.

I don't think majority reading this would even know what capitalism or socialism is all about...first we need to explain the general understanding of the terms then put forth an opinion...don't u agree?????????

i think capitalism is a tragic good

it is propelled by a selfish motive, and even though selfish its is the best system the world has ever seen. Because of it their is alot more people eating, and alot more wealth

bad part is it reduces human life to just seek money, and even though today we have more than ever it still feels we have nothing and we need more

i personaly think the best system will be an administered capital system or community based economics
were instead of individual satisfying a selfish desire which yiels to productivity
instead it is a collective group that peruses it and that leads to a group of people who benefit
this way the profits are more proportionately distributed and their wouldn't be a super rich or super poor, but still their will be the desire to want to go out their and innovate to make money and survive

the culture i practice is a mix of Persian Jewish culture
my opinion are freely formulated (if their is such a thing as free formulation of opinion for anyone who comes into contact with a group) and becuase i live in a country were the best opinion usually prevails i tend to agree on most position the US takes.

I would say more Marginalist than Patriot...from the sound of it.
And if I didn't know any better I would say Mike was preaching Anarcho-Capitalism..but naaaaaaaaaaaah..I know better...

why wouldn't he be advocating AC? anyway, from my discussions with Mike, its clear that he has a political allegiance. Its principled, but nonetheless an allegiance.

the way I define socialism is the enforcement of the distribution of resources for the achievement of freedom

capitalism as the distribution of resources and achievement of freedom through market culture.

and it is selfishness or great sacrifise that creats the oppertubity to creat
