Eminem Says He's 'Taking a Break'

Is Eminem headed for retirement — or just taking a break? Earlier this month, reports from his hometown of Detroit quoted sources as saying the 32-year-old rapper would play his last concert at Slane Castle in Dublin, Ireland, on Sept. 17, at the end of "Anger Management" tour.

In a posting on its Web site, MTV quotes Eminem as saying, "I'm not retiring," and also denying that "Encore" is his last album.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, is quoted as saying: "When I say I'm taking a break, I'm taking a break from my music to go in the studio and produce my other artists and put their albums out."

He is also quoted as saying, "When I know my next move, I'll tell everyone my next move. Not some reporter who writes a story about `This is Eminem's last album.' I never said (`Encore') was my last album."

No copyright violation in 'Fixin' to Die Rag'-court

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court has rejected a lawsuit charging 1960s psychedelic rocker Country Joe McDonald with copyright infringement for his 1965 protest song "Fixin' to Die Rag," which became a rallying cry for opposition to the Vietnam War.

a decision made public on Friday, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an appeal from Babette Ory, who said McDonald's song infringed on jazz standard "Muskrat Ramble," credited to her father, Kid Ory.

Ory sued in September 2001, claiming that "Fixin' to Die Rag" was similar to and infringed on "Muskrat Ramble." Kid Ory, who recorded with jazz great Louis Armstrong, died in 1973.

The appellate judges upheld a lower-court decision saying there was too long a delay in bringing the copyright lawsuit and awarded McDonald his attorney fees. Ory obtained copyright to "Muskrat Ramble" in 2001.

McDonald wrote "Fixing To Die Rag" in 1965 to protest the nation's escalating military involvement in Vietnam and the song's refrain: "And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for?" quickly turned into a rallying cry against the war and figured prominently at the Woodstock music festival in 1969.

US fans shun Michael Jackson CD

Michael Jackson's latest greatest hits album has sold just 8,000 copies in the US in its first week of release, reaching number 128 in the chart.

The Essential Michael Jackson is the star's first release since he was cleared of child abuse a month ago.

Jackson's two-disc set went straight to number two in the UK - but he failed to match that success in his home country.

The number one US album, multi-artist compilation CD Now 19, sold 436,000 copies in its first week.

Jackson faces a struggle to repair his image and repay debts that prosecutors in his trial claimed amounted to $300m.

Coldplay's 'X&Y' reaches double platinum

NEW YORK (Billboard) - A little more than a month after its release, Coldplay's "X&Y" has been certified double-platinum in July by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).



The trade group verified shipments of 2 million copies of the Capitol set to U.S. retailers. (Actual sales to consumers stand at 1.76 million copies as at July 31, according to Nielsen SoundScan.)

The feat follows a trend for the U.K.-based band, whose 2000 debut, "Parachutes," is also double-platinum, while 2002's "A Rush of Blood to the Head" has reached the triple-platinum mark.

Others reaching new multi-platinum heights in July included a pair of superstar country acts, Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney. The former's 1997 Arista Nashville "Greatest Hits" set reached quadruple platinum as did the latter's 2004 BNA release "When the Sun Goes Down."

Kelly Clarkson's sophomore RCA album "Breakaway" tipped the RIAA's scales at triple platinum last month, while Velvet Revolver's "Contraband" (RCA) and Disney's "The Lizzie McGuire Soundtrack" were each certified for U.S. shipments of 2 million copies.

George Strait notched double-platinum in July with two separate MCA Nashville albums. His latest studio set, "Somewhere Down in Texas," released in late June, was certified platinum for U.S. shipments of 1 million copies, even though Nielsen SoundScan reports sales at just 472,000. In addition, his 2002 "20th Century Masters-The Millennium Collection" also reached the same plateau. According to the RIAA, Strait has 30 platinum albums to his credit.

Also reaching platinum in July were Audioslave's "Out of Exile" (Interscope), the Backstreet Boys' "Never Gone" (Jive), the Black Eyed Peas' "Monkey Business" (A&M), the Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor" (RCA), Il Divo's "Il Divo" (RCA), Jay-Z and Linkin Park's "Collision Course" (Warner Bros.) and Sugarland's "Twice the Speed of Light" (Mercury Nashville).

ATLANTA (Billboard) - Popular music artists Usher and 50 Cent tied for top winner at the Billboard-American Urban Radio Networks 2005 R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on Friday night.

The two performers each earned three statuettes. Tied at two awards each were Mario and Alicia Keys. Jonathan "Lil Jon" Smith, who led the field as a finalist in five categories, earned kudos as top R&B/hip-hop producer.

The Aug. 5 ceremony, staged at the Compound nightclub in Atlanta, wrapped the sixth annual Billboard-AURN R&B/Hip-Hop Conference, which began Aug. 3. This was the first time the conference and awards show were held in Atlanta; previous sites were Miami and New York.

Usher's wins included top R&B/hip-hop artist, male artist and singles artist. 50 Cent's "The Massacre" landed him plaudits for top R&B/hip-hop album and albums artist, plus top rap album.

Keys was awarded statuettes for top R&B/hip-hop songwriter and female artist. Mario's R&B/pop No. 1 crossover single "Let Me Love You" earned accolades for top R&B/hip-hop single and single (airplay).

Fantasia and the Game were first-time R&B/hip-hop award winners. Fantasia's "I Believe" won for top R&B/hip-hop single (sales). The Game claimed the new R&B/hip-hop artist award. Destiny's Child, which is disbanding after wrapping its current tour in September, was awarded top R&B/hip-hop duo or group.

Interscope wrested the title of top R&B/hip-hop major label from last year's winner, Island Def Jam Music Group. Repeating as the top independent label was TVT.

LISBON Portugal said on Tuesday it would award Irish rockers U2 the country's Order of Liberty to honor the band's humanitarian efforts.


President Jorge Sampaio will award the Dublin four -- lead singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr. -- before a concert in Lisbon on Sunday.

"Over the last 25 years the band has allied its public exposure gained through musical success with the defense of humanitarian causes and human rights," a presidential spokeswoman said.

Bono was a major figure in the Live Aid concert for Ethiopian famine relief 20 years ago and has since campaigned for the world's poor. U2 were also involved in last month's Live 8 concert held to pressure rich nations to allieviate poverty.

Eminem hospitalized for drug dependency

LOS ANGELES , Rap star Eminem has been hospitalized for dependency on sleep medication, his label said on Thursday, two days after the recording artist canceled a European tour due to "exhaustion" and "other medical issues."

The back-to-back announcements come weeks after the Detroit Free Press reported that the Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, might retire at the end of his "Anger Management" tour, which also featured his protege, 50 Cent.

Eminem, who turns 33 in October, flatly denied such plans, but has said he wants to focus more on producing artists for his Shady Records label. The North American leg of the tour wrapped recently.

"Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, is in the hospital under doctors' care," Interscope Records said in a statement. "He's being treated for dependency on sleep medication."

A publicist at the Universal Music Group label declined to give further details, including information about where and or for how long the rap star had been hospitalized.

On Tuesday, Eminem said through his label that he was canceling the European leg of his tour, scheduled to run from September 1 in Hamburg to September 17 near Dublin, citing "exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues." Those dates were not expected to be rescheduled, the statement added.

Eminem became a smash sensation in the last six years with a series of Grammy-winning albums, despite critics who condemned many of his lyrics as homophobic, misogynist and excessively violent.

His current release, "Encore," toned down the rhetoric, and included an anti-war single.

He won an Academy Award in 2003 for co-writing a song that appeared on the hit movie "8 Mile," a semi-autobiographical release in which he also starred.

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Back in his days with Pink Floyd, Roger Waters took on the big issues of life. In high-concept projects like "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall," he grappled with such challenging topics as social oppression, the long shadows of war, the interplay of money and power, and the abuse of authority.

Since 1989, Waters wrestled with many of those same concerns in a genre new to him: opera. The result, "Ca Ira," an opera set during the French Revolution, arrives in stores September 27 from Columbia/Sony BMG Masterworks.

Spread over two Super Audio CDs and accompanied by a "making of" DVD and a lavish 60-page booklet, the recording features an accomplished cast, including bass baritone Bryn Terfel, soprano Ying Huang and tenor Paul Groves.

The opera's setting and themes were inspired by a libretto written for the French Revolution's bicentennial by songwriter Etienne Roda-Gil and his wife, Nadine, who also created illustrations for their co-written text. (Some of those images are included in the booklet.) Introduced to the couple by a mutual friend, Waters took on the task of writing the music for the opera, whose characters include King Louis Capet, Marie Antoinette and the revolutionaries who changed the course of history.

"Eventually, though," Waters recalls, "Sony urged me to use English instead of French, so I wrote an English version of Etienne and Nadine's work, and then I felt compelled to expand on their original text. Their work was really a series of gorgeous tableaux, and I added more personal narrative and history for some of the characters."

Waters' music recalls the lush, hyper-Romantic sound of opera composers like Puccini. "(He is) definitely an inspiration," concurs Waters, who also sees common ground between his rock compositions and some of Puccini's work: "After all, his opera 'Tosca' takes place in a police state."

Swede Singing Khayyam at Niavaran Palace
{Henrik Nagy} and his band will perform at the NIAVARAN Palace 25-27 August 2005. This is the Swedish musician's second concert in Tehran. He was introduced to Iranian classical music and poetry through his wife, {Maryam Majd}. He later composed pieces based on Khayyam Quatrains. Nagy's choice of the poetry is related to his search for the roots of Iranian poetry and music. Nagy's band, among the best musicians living in Iran according to him, have also been instrumental in the development of his music. These musicians are {Reza Abaee} on Qeychak, {Ramin Behna} on keyboard, {Darshan Anand} on tabla, {Peter Akoup} on bass guitar, {Yasha Hanjani} on ney, {Homayoun Nasiri} percussion, and {Yahya al-Khansa} on drums. "I have tried to use musicians who… are dynamic," says the Swedish musician of his band.

Each piece contains several quatrains of Khayyam, which are conceptually related, but the general atmosphere of the pieces are celebratory. Nagy has tried to reflect the deep meanings of the poetry while maintaining the poet's hedonistic tendencies. He admits that his understanding of Khayyam poetry compares poorly next to that of a Persian speaker.

The concert will be sound engineered by {Kiarash 'Alimi} and according to its organizer, {Yashar Derafsheh}, a DVD of the concert will be made available later in the year.

Kurdish Tanbur at Niavaran Palace
{Ali Akbar Moradi} will perform at NIAVARAN Palace 1-2 September. He will be accompanied by {Pezham Akhvas} on daf and tonbak. Moradi says that the program will be in four parts, reflecting the four seasons, although the seasons start with the summer, rather than spring, as it is customary in the Iranian calendar.

Moradi's last concert in Tehran was 7 years ago, but he is an establish musician outside the country, having appeared in numerous performances with kamancheh player {Keyhan Kalhor} and percussionist {Pezhman Haddadi}. His last concert outside Iran was in London in July. His last published work in Iran, Sama'e Mastaneh (Mahoor Records), is eight months old.

The concert is organized by AVAKHORSHID Records, which will release the concert's DVD soon. Ali Akbar Moradi is not only a distinguished tanbur player but a music scholar who has worked on the maqams of the music of Kermanshah. He has published the result of his research in 4 CDs in Europe. These CDs are not available in Iran.

An Album That Breaks Every Professional Rule of the Game
Vaqe'e is a newly released album whose publication would no doubt have been impossible outside the country. It is not unlike a karaoke recording done at home. Vaqe'e appropriates the music of established band AXIOM OF CHOICE, a band whose core members are Iranians living in Los Angeles. Axiom's three albums were released outside the country and because their lead singer, {Mamak Khadem}, is a woman, they cannot be published in Iran.

Two years ago, when Khadem traveled to Iran, she was offered a deal by which a male voice would appear next to hers in selected Axiom pieces to legitimize their publication in Iran. She and the other Axiom member, {Ramin Torkian}, adamantly protested such a move. When Khadem came back to Iran in the following year, she learned that an album has been published in which a {Homayoun Kazemi} was said to have "cooperated" with Torkian and Khadem on it.

Despite Axiom's numerous appeals to AVAYE BARBAD Records to revoke the album, the company has gone on with its sales. Finally, Khadem went to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance with her grievance, and the Ministry's answer was the last straw: Since Axiom has published its albums abroad, the country's intellectual property rights do not apply to them. As such, anyone can claim the work as his or hers.

Red-hot Coldplay plans spring tour

NASHVILLE (Billboard) - Coldplay's ongoing Twisted Logic tour is doing huge business at the box office in North America, but the U.K. group already has its sights set on a return engagement.

After the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April, the group told Billboard.

The current tour is proving as successful as Coldplay's third Capitol album, "X&Y," which in 11 weeks has sold 1.9 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

LOS ANGELES - A subdued Courtney Love, clutching a copy of Bob Dylan's autobiography, was sentenced on Friday to 180 days in jail for violating her probation, but will serve her time in a live-in drug treatment center.

The troubled rocker has been living at a lock-down substance abuse facility since admitting in August she had used drugs, a violation of her probation. A Los Angeles judge said she would be spared jail time because of the headway she made in rehabilitation.

"I'm very pleased with your progress. I think this is an excellent first step on the road to recovery," Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin told Love after studying a report on her treatment.

The 41-year-old singer, who came to court carrying Dylan's book "Chronicles" and wearing dark sunglasses, will not be allowed to leave the clinic except for emergencies and would be subject to random drug tests. Rubin ordered her back to court on November 18 and extended her probation, which stems from drug and assault convictions, until March 2007.

"Thank you very much, your honor," Love said quietly, before leaving court with an eight-person entourage. A man who was with Love, the former singer for rock group Hole, barred journalists from riding in a courthouse elevator with her and shoved a reporter who tried.

Green Day clean up at MTV awards

Green Day won seven awards, out of eight nominations, at the MTV music awards in Miami on Sunday.



"It's great to know that rock music still has a place at MTV," said Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong.

The awards went ahead despite concerns over Hurricane Katrina, which hit Florida last week, and after a shooting at a pre-awards party.

Record boss Suge Knight was shot in the leg at a party for Kanye West and is expected to require surgery.

Green Day won awards for best rock video and best video for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, as well as best group, the viewers' choice award and several technical awards.

Their only nomination which did not yield a prize was art direction, which went to Gwen Stefani for What You Waiting For?

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Compilations rarely get labels or retailers excited these days. Yet when Babygrande Records founder Chuck Wilson received a pitch on an album that combines the production talents of Wu-Tang Clan members with hip-hop's underground stars, he could not resist.

"Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture" is due October 18. First single "Biochemical Equation," which pairs Wu-Tang's RZA with critics' darling MF Doom, was released exclusively to iTunes in September.

Other contributors include Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, the reunited Cannibal Ox (featuring Definitive Jux label head El-P), C-Rayz Walz, Planet Asia, J-Live, Casual and Aesop Rock. In addition to RZA, Wu-Tang members who lent their vocals or beats include GZA, Masta Killa and U-God.

The album also features between-song commentary by indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, who collaborated with RZA on his soundtrack to Jarmusch's 1999 feature "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai." Wilson says the director also has recorded voice-overs for TV spots.

"Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture" was the brainchild of Dreddy Kruger, who previously was signed to Wu-Tang Records. After compiling and mixing the album, Kruger was rebuffed by a number of labels before he found Wilson. Kruger plans to issue two more albums with Babygrande.

"I'm really surprised something like this hasn't been done before, but RZA didn't even know who MF Doom was," Wilson says. "With the crazy nature of the business right now, I think we'll see more collaborations like this."

The gap between mainstream and underground hip-hop acts has been getting narrower since DJ Danger Mouse combined Jay-Z and the Beatles for his 2004 Web-only mash-up hit "The Gray Album." Wilson's label, for instance, is a mixture of veteran artists like GZA and such up-and-comers as Lawless Element and Jakki the Motamouth.

In a busy holiday season, Wilson is hoping the assortment of hip artists will make the compilation stand out.

"A lot of labels turned this project down," Wilson says, "but from the moment Dreddy told me about it, I was like, 'Dude.' It just all made sense."

Kruger adds, "As an independent company, I told Babygrande this is what they're supposed to be doing. Major labels can't get stuff done like this."

آره خودم هم شنیدم که آلبوم جدیدم به بازار اومده! ولی آلبوم جدید واقعی من قراره تا دو سه ماه دیگه به بازار بیاد! این آلبومی که در حال حاضر بر روی اینترنت قرار داره، آلبوم جدید ابرو(خواننده ترک) هست که با ایشون در ساخت یکی از آهنگها همکاری کردم.

این آلبوم جدید ابرو یک هفته ای هست که بیرون اومده و در این مدت کوتاه دوستان محبت کردن و این آلبوم را بر روی اینترنت قرار دادند بصورت غیرقانونی

این نوع محبت کردن از نوع خاله خرسه هست، با این کارها به خوانندگان ضرر مالی میزنن.

آره حالا برای بچه هایی که داخل ایران هستن این موضوع قابل فهمه، چون به هر حال در داخل ایران این آلبومها در بازار سیاه بصورت غیر قانونی به فروش میرسه و امکان خرید قانونی وجود نداره، ولی بچه هایی که در خارج از ایران هستن میتونن این آلبونها را خریداری بکنن، ولی متاسفانه اینجوری نیست

در مصاحبه قبلی که باهات داشتم، گفتی که آلبوم جدیدت "بی تو هرگز" زودتر به بازار می آید، چرا عقب افتاد؟

آلبوم آماده هست و قرار بود که همزمان با آلبوم جدید آقای ابرو توسط شرکت ترانه به بازار بیاد. ولی من گرفتار تولید ویدیو برای آهنگهای آلبوم جدید شدم و یکخورده خرجمون رفت بالا! در حال حاضر سه ویدیو آهنگ جدیدم حاضر شده، دو ویدیو آهنگ باقی مونده هم به زودی حاضر میشه و آهنگها به همراه ویدیوها در یک مجموعه کامل تا قبل از سال نو میلادی در بازار خواهد بود.

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Adding further fuel to the rumor that he plans to retire or at the very least take an extended break from music, Eminem is eyeing a December 6 release for his first retrospective, "Curtain Call."

According to the rapper's Aftermath/Interscope label, the track list is not yet finalized but will feature "at least two" new songs in addition to such hits as "Stan," "The Way I Am," "My Name Is" and "Lose Yourself."

The label further says Eminem has been working on "Curtain Call" since early summer, presumably before he was forced to cancel the end of his Anger Management tour with 50 Cent and seek treatment for an addiction to sleep medication.

"I have some songs that a lot of people like," says Eminem, who has sold 29 million albums in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "I have some songs that only I like. This album is obviously for the 'lot' of people."

Earlier this summer, the Detroit Free Press published an article claiming Eminem would retire after the Anger Management tour and that his 2004 album, "Encore," would likely be his last. Eminem -- real name Marshall Mathers -- turns 33 next Monday.

Although the artist has made no definitive statements about his future, a source close to the situation told Billboard.com at the time, "'Encore' was the close of the first chapter in his career. Beyond that, who knows?"

Eminem continues to make appearances behind the scenes, including an unusual production job on Redman's upcoming album, "Red Gone Wild." The cut "I C Dead People" lives up to its name by utilizing rapping from late artists Big Pun, Big L and Notorious B.I.G.

شهیاد جان شایعه شده که آلبوم جدیدت به بازار اومده، موضوع از چه قراره؟
آره خودم هم شنیدم که آلبوم جدیدم به بازار اومده! ولی آلبوم جدید واقعی من قراره تا دو سه ماه دیگه به بازار بیاد! این آلبومی که در حال حاضر بر روی اینترنت قرار داره، آلبوم جدید ابرو(خواننده ترک) هست که با ایشون در ساخت یکی از آهنگها همکاری کردم.

این آلبوم جدید ابرو یک هفته ای هست که بیرون اومده و در این مدت کوتاه دوستان محبت کردن و این آلبوم را بر روی اینترنت قرار دادند بصورت غیرقانونی

این نوع محبت کردن از نوع خاله خرسه هست، با این کارها به خوانندگان ضرر مالی میزنن.

آره حالا برای بچه هایی که داخل ایران هستن این موضوع قابل فهمه، چون به هر حال در داخل ایران این آلبومها در بازار سیاه بصورت غیر قانونی به فروش میرسه و امکان خرید قانونی وجود نداره، ولی بچه هایی که در خارج از ایران هستن میتونن این آلبونها را خریداری بکنن، ولی متاسفانه اینجوری نیست

در مصاحبه قبلی که باهات داشتم، گفتی که آلبوم جدیدت "بی تو هرگز" زودتر به بازار می آید، چرا عقب افتاد؟

آلبوم آماده هست و قرار بود که همزمان با آلبوم جدید آقای ابرو توسط شرکت ترانه به بازار بیاد. ولی من گرفتار تولید ویدیو برای آهنگهای آلبوم جدید شدم و یکخورده خرجمون رفت بالا! در حال حاضر سه ویدیو آهنگ جدیدم حاضر شده، دو ویدیو آهنگ باقی مونده هم به زودی حاضر میشه و آهنگها به همراه ویدیوها در یک مجموعه کامل تا قبل از سال نو میلادی در بازار خواهد بود.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Eric Clapton will follow musicians Bob Dylan and Sting with a book about his life, telling of his 40 years as the top rock and blues guitarist of his age in which he went "to hell and back," publisher Doubleday said on Thursday.

Doubleday in the United States, and Century in Britain, both owned by Bertelsmann AG said they would jointly publish the book in spring 2007 and paid Clapton a "substantial advance."

Trade industry sources said the advance was between $4 million and $6 million.

Clapton will talk openly about his life, including the death of his child in a tragic fall from a New York apartment and his raucous years in the rock world, said Doubleday spokesman David Drake.

"Clapton is 60 and happily married and he feels very good about his life, and feels ready to look back in an honest way, warts and all," said Drake. "He's ready to write really candidly about his peaks and valleys and about how he has gone to hell and back."

Clapton, the illegitimate son of a Canadian soldier and an Englishwoman, played with some of the best blues and rock musicians of his day and survived bouts of heroin addiction and heavy drinking.

Christopher Simon Sykes, a close friend since 1967, will collaborate with him in writing the book.

Dylan's book, "Chronicles: Volume One," which has been on best seller lists and won literary prizes, serves as a model for the new Eric Clapton book, Drake said.

"Dylan's is the kind of model we envisioned, and in the same way we see this book bringing out the distinct voice of Eric Clapton. He will be intensely involved in the book writing process," said Drake.

But in "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard" (Capitol), his 20th studio album since 1970, the year the Fab Four broke up, he broaches such topics as recovering from the death of his first wife, Linda, and finding a new love in second wife, Heather Mills McCartney.

In an interview, McCartney said it took a few years after Linda's death from cancer in 1998 to bring those kinds of emotions out publicly.

"It wasn't hard, privately. It's easy to experience it. But, you know, you have to think about how to write this stuff down. It took a little while to find its way into the songs, for the dust to settle. How to make it art."

McCartney's first venture after Linda's death, 1999's "Run Devil Run, was anything but the emotion-laden, sad album the public was expecting. A tribute to the rockers of Paul's youth, the album was loaded with tunes by Little Richard, Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry and others.

"It was the only way I could go, really, to make that kind of record. And Linda had always said to me, 'You must do a rock and roll album,' which is what I did."

خیلی وقته که منتظر این آلبوم بودیم. ببینیم چرا افشین اینقدر طولش داد!

افشین: اول منتظر بودم که شما تاییدش کنید بعد به بازار عرضه اش کنیم

چندتا آهنگ در این آلبوم هست؟

من برای این آلبوم، چهارده آهنگ آماده کردم، ولی شرکت ترانه (پشتیبان این آلبوم ) فقط ده آهنگ را در این آلبوم قرار داد. به این دلیل که اگر تعداد آهنگهای آلبوم بالا باشه خواننده های دیگه هم مجبور میشن که همون تعداد آهنگ در آلبوماشون باشه، ترسیدن که دشمن پیدا کنم!

یادم باشه که اومدی لندن برات اسفند بسوزونم! این آلبوم جدید را دو شرکت ایرانی و خارجی به بازار می دن، موضوع از چه قراره؟

شرکت ترانه که هميشه با آن کار می کردم و شرکت آلمانی ای. کی. که پخش آلبوم را در اروپا بر عهده داره، در مورد اين آلبوم با هم همکاری می کنن. آهنگ "بدجوری عاشقت شدم" که برادرم امیر در اجرای اون جاماییکایی می خونه را قراره شرکت وارنر برادرز به بازار اروپا و آمریکا عرضه کنه، ولی هنوز کاملا قطعی نشده.

شعر آهنگ "از تو بدم میام" از کیه؟

من امسال خیلی سعی کردم که با بچه های داخل ایران کار کنم. شاعر آهنگش دی جی امیر است(از شنونده های قدیمی ما!) و آهنگسازش هم خودم بودم.

ظاهرا برادرت امیر در تهیه و تنظیم بقیه آهنگهای آلبوم هم بهت کمک کرده؟

آره امیر همیشه پشتوانه من بوده، همشیه بر روی صحنه در کنسرتها با من بوده، در تهیه آلبوم، انتخاب آهنگها و کلا همه چیز به من کمک می کنه.

برادر کوچک داشتن اینطور موقعها خیلی به درد می خوره!

الان هم داری می ری باشگاه ورزش کنی و بعدش هم داری میری اروپا؟

ورزش که چه عرض کنم، سونا، ورزش تنبلها! بعدش هم دارم میرم آلمان و هلند برای فیلم برداری چند صحنه باقی مونده از ویدیوی آهنگهای آلبوم جدیدم. بعدش هم میرم لس آنجلس برای فیلم برداری یک ویدیو آهنگ دیگه.

بعدش هم کنسرتهات شروع میشه؟

آره از دوهفته دیگه در فرانکفورت و کلن آلمان، بعدش دوبی، آمستردام و آخره کارهم لندن.

تارا در نگاه اول دختر نوجوانی بنظرمی یاد که به زحمت فارسی حرف می زنه، یا بهتره بگم که چند کلمه فارسی بلده ولی با پیانو حرفهایی می زنه که تو هیچ زبانی نیست.
تارا کمانگر یک نوازنده پيانوی جوان ايرانيه که چند وقت پیش در یک کنسرت در لندن، آثاری از آهنگسازان کلاسيک ايران و جهان را اجرا کرد

تارا درکالیفرنیای آمریکا متولد و بزرگ شده. فارغ التحصیل از رشته مردم شناسی اجتماعی در مقطع لیسانس ازدانشگاه هاروارده و در حال حاضر مشغول به تحصیل موسیقی در کالج سلطنتی هنر در لندنه

تارا تا بحال در ایران نبوده، ولی با وجود این دوری، بیشترین میزان علاقه کاریش در زمینه موسیقی ایرانیه. تعدادی آثار ایرانی هم در کارهایی که برای کنسرتش انتخاب کرده بود، به چشم می خورد

کار مشترک شهرام ناظری و پسرش حافظ، بعد از دو سال و نيم به پايان رسيد

اين مجموعه شامل سه ساعت موسيقی، رقص و گفتار در خصوص مولانا و زندگی او است که بزودی در تور شمال آمريکا و اروپا به روی صحنه خواهد رفت

حافظ ناظری: اين مجموعه شامل سازبندی های ايرانی و غربی است و دراجرای زنده آن نوازنده های حرفه ای غربی نتهای پيچيده ای را اجرا خواهند کرد

شهرام ناظری: کلا از ابتدای کار اين ذهنيت رو داشتم که لحنهای گمشده و آوازهای گمشده رو زنده کنم. گويشهای حماسی و لحنهای آوازی که از دوران صفوی به بعد از بين رفته
من دراين مجموعه به سبکی خواهم خواند که جوابگوی شور و حرکت شعر مولوی باشه و با روح حماسی شعر فردوسی همآهنگی داشته باشه. چرا که در اين مجموعه قطعاتی رو با اشعار حماسی فردوسی اجرا خواهم کرد.

اين روش مخالف سنت نيست بلکه به تفکر جديدی اشاره کرده

در اين اجرا شعرای سه کشور ايران، فرانسه و آمريکا شرکت خواهند داشت

نیما (که قبلا برنامه رنگارنگ رو روی ماهواره اجرا می کرد) در آلبوم آینده اش آهنگی به اسم "عشق اینترنتی" خواهد داشت، از طرف دیگه کلمه اینترنت یکی از ترسناکترین کلماتیه که خواننده های ایرانی باهاش روبرو هستن

خواننده های ایرانی قبل از بیرون آمدن آلبومشون، دائما نگرانن که نکنه یکجوری آلبومشون به بیرون درز پیدا کنه و روی اینترنت پخش بشه و در نتیجه فروششون در بازار نصف بشه

خوشبختانه من آلبومم رو دست هیچکس ندادم که نگران بیرون آمدنش روی اینترنت باشم

ولی وقتی که آلبوم بیرون میاد، مشکل شروع می شه. روی سایتهای موسیقی قاچاق، فوری تمام آهنگهای آلبوم رو مجانی پخش می کنن!

نیما: این یکی از بزرگترین ضربه هائیه که به خواننده ها زده می شه. ببینین مشکلترین کار یک خواننده ایرانی تهیه آلبوم و فروختنش به شرکت پخش موسیقیه

حالا اگر این شرکت براش صرف نکنه (یعنی تعداد کمتری در مغازه ها فروش بره) شاید پولی که بابتش می پردازن حتی خرج ضبط آلبوم رو هم درنیاره! بنابراین قاچاق موسیقی روی اینترنت داره بزرگترین ضربه رو به تولید موسیقی پاپ ایرانی می زنه

با تمام این محکم کاری ها یکی از آهنگهای آلبوم جدید نیما، الان روی اینترنت هست. آهنگی که به اسم "مریم پائیزی" معروفه. ولی این آهنگ سه دقیقه ای مریم پائیزی نیست!

جریان اینه که وقتی ویدیوی تبلیغاتی آلبوم آینده نیما روی شبکه های ماهواره ای ایرانی پخش شد، سایتهای قاچاق اینترنتی صدای ویدیو رو کپی کردن و مجانا روی اینترنت گذاشتن

چون این اسم روی تصویر ویدیویی دیده می شه مردم فکر کردن که این اسم آهنگه. با نیما که تلفنی صحبت کردم به من گفت که:

این آهنگ هم اصلش پنج دقیقه و سی و نه ثانبه هستش و جای تکرار هم نداره، برای همین نتونستن تغییرش بدن و به اسم یک آهنگ کامل بازسازیش کنند.

اسم واقعی آین آهنگ برو دیگه هستش ، شعر و آهنگش از مصطفی نصرالهی، ولی اسم آلبوم، "مریم پاییزی" خواهد بود با آهنگی به همین نام.

فیلمبرداری ویدیوی آهنگ مریم پاییزی رو تموم کردم. ویدیوی پرخرجی بوده چون با فیلم سینمائی گرفته شده. شعر اون آهنگ که اسم آلبومم هم هست از مریم حیدرزاده است و آهنگش از رامین زمانی و تنظیم از شهرام آذر.

آلبوم جدید مدونا که قراره تا اواخر هفته دیگه به بازار بیاد، هنوز بیرون نیومده خبرساز شده. خبر اول مربوطه به اعتراض یک خاخام به شعر آهنگی در آلبوم جدید به اسم ایزاک که اشاره به یک خاخام یهودی در قرن 16 میلادی داره به اسم لوریا. خاخامی که نگهبان مقبره لوریاست، گفته که مدونا به دلیل استفاده سودجویانه از نام این خاخام دچار عقوبت بدی خواهد شد

خبر بعدی هم مربوط میشه به مصاحبه مدونا با یک مجله و اشاره به نامه ای که برای گروه ABBA نوشته و با " التماس" از اونها خواسته که بهش اجازه استفاده قسمتی از آهنگ Gimme را بدهند. پس از این نامه، گروه ABBA اجازه استفاده را به مدونا داده و این دومین باريه که این گروه، چنين اجازه ای را به کسی می ده

گروه ترنتيس که سبکشون راک مرگ يا death metal هستش به تحريک ما، تصميم گرفتن که يکی از آهنگهای محبوب پاپ ايرانی رو به سبک راک مرگ خودشون اجرا کنن.
آرش از گروه ترنتيس: همه ما ها تو گروهمون تصميم گرفتيم آهنگی که ۳۶۰ درجه نقطه مقابل راک ما هست، به قول خودمون رطيل خورش کنيم.

اول فکر کرديم کامران و هومن، بعد ديديم نه آهنگی که الان خيلی عام پسنده آهنگ "شکلات" کامبيزه، که ما با اجرای راک اين آهنگ هم می خوايم توانائی مون رو آزمايش کنيم و همينکه خدا رو چه ديدی، شايد چيز جالبی از آب در آمد.

آرش: ريتم ضربی درامش رو ساختيم که خيلی هم جالب در اومد. نت گيتارش رو هم نوشتيم. فقط بايد يک استوديو پيدا کنيم اين آهنگ رو ضبط کنيم

اين اجرا که " در مکتب رومی و فردوسی خوانی " نام داره شامل ساخته های حافظ ناظری است که با نوازنده های سازهای کلاسيک خارجی و سازهای ايرانی اجرا خواهد.

اين کار ما به نحوی به دنباله کنسرتهای سراسری ايران ما هست که چهارسال پيش اجرا کرديم.

اين برنامه کلا در دستگاه نوا اجرا خواهد شد. در اين برنامه سعی شده از حجرهای کشف نشده و پنهان در دستگاه نوا استفاده بشه.

در اجرای اين برنامه از چند ساز غربی و سنتی ايرانی استفاده می کنيم. در اين برنانه سه تار ويالون سل، دف و سازهای کوبه ای آفريقائی و ساز قديمی آرشه ای ويولا همنوازی خواهند کرد ولی نه از نوعی که تابحال انجام شده.

در اجرای اين کار، سازهای غربی شخصيت و استفاده نوايی واقعی خودشون را خواهند داشت، نه به اين شکل مرسوم که ويالون سل ادای کمانچه را دربياره.

بنظر من اين کار يک موسيقی تلفيقی نيست بلکه يک صدا و يک کار جديده که از اين دو فرهنگ زاده شده و اين نوع کار با فضای سورياليستيه و تلاطمهای اشعار مولانا همخوانی و همرنگی خواهد داشت.

فقط چند روز بعد از اينکه آهنگ ديگه ازت بدم مياد برای اولين بار از برنامه روز هفتم پخش شد، اين آهنگ به صدر جدول موسيقی های قاچاق شده روی اينترنت رسيده. ديگه ازت بدم مياد از آلبوم ماچ که قراره يک هفته ديگه به بازار بياد. با اينکه هنوز موريک ويدئو اون پخش نشده، قاچاق موسيقی کاره خودش را کرد
