Mehrdad Oladi who is currently on trial with the newly-promoted La Liga side Xerez Deportivo, will have his last opportunity to impress the Andalucian club officials in a friendly match against Recreativo Huelva on Sunday night.
*On Friday during the friendly match against FC Sevilla, the 24-year-old striker appeared as a substitute in the last 35 minutes of the game and played a significant role in Xerez's only goal.

In the post-match press conference, Xerez coach Jose Angel Ziganda had some praise for the Iranian, but he postponed any decision about the trial players until after the next match against Recreativo Huelva.

"There's little time left. Practically, they are unable to speak Spanish. It is difficult to say anything because they have played very short time but Oladi showed a couple of very good things. Now, we've got another match left and hopefully we can have an evaluation", Ziganda said.

Xerez Deportivo will face the Secunda Division side Recreativo Huelva at 21:00 local time on Sunday.

Iranian forward Mehrdad Oladi gets an opportunity to join compatriots Javad Nekounam and Masoud Shojaei in Spain as La Liga side Xerez Club Deportivo hand the 24-year-old a trial.

The former Persepolis player arrived in the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia yesterday and will spend the next week with the newly promoted club coached by Jose Angel Ziganda.

Ziganda who led Osasuna to the semi-finals of the 2006-07 UEFA Cup was responsible for Nekounam and Masoud's transfers to the Basque side.

Xerez will play the 2009-10 in La Liga for the first time in their history.
