The old things have not disappeared. They still exist alongside the new ones. I was in Tehran last summer and found that northern part of the city can be compared with US cities while southern part makes a good representative of any developing courtries' shabby town.

yeah its true. vali i go to Iran- tehran every year or every 2 years and everytime i notice changes that the city is developing hugely! The building works never end! its the new New York lol :)

i think tehran should definately develop, but without losing sight of how it was before development (keep some of the old buildings as a reminder of the past). I love the pics you put up redwine! i really wish i could go to iran this summer :(

each time i watch this video ,i am goin' to cry !:( . . . for me and for all of the ppl which doesn't see tehran for 27 years,this is hard and painful ! i can not believe it ! how is possible that ?...

so upset and still so far away from my home,my ''mahaleh'' Shemiran :(.
