How VIEW can be used to count rows or groups??

I know how we can create a view on a table so it gives back the number of rows in that table (however it doesn't make sence cuz there is a function which takes care of that).About groupes, is she talking about user groups or what? those kinda information are stored in data dictionary tables ( i know the name in oracle which should be different with SQL srvr) :D anyways the question is still ambiguous. maybe you should introduce your sis to me :D and i'll help her up!;)
