persian names are beautiful, despite the fact that for those of us living outside of iran the luxury of having our name pronounced correctly is non existant. I have had my name butchered so many times, but i still refuse to be called nellie or any other altered version of my name. I like names that are easier to prounounce, and my kids will have iranian names regardless.
