Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with breast cancer, a rep for the 36-year-old Samantha Who? Emmy nominee announced late Saturday.

In full, the spokesperson's statement said:
"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening."
The rep added: "Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time."
US actor Christina Applegate is being treated for breast cancer.
The 36-year-old actor's publicist, Ame Van Iden, said Applegate had been diagnosed with an early form of the cancer.
"The cancer is not life-threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment . . . and will have a full recovery," Ms Van Iden said.
Applegate has earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her starring role in ABC's comedy Samantha Who?
She plays a young career woman who awakens from an eight-day coma remembering nothing about her past.
The series began in October and marked the TV return of Applegate, who helped establish the upstart Fox network in 1987 as ditzy teenager Kelly Bundy on Married . . . with Children.
The raunchy sitcom ran for 11 seasons and has been airing in syndication ever since.
Applegate won an Emmy in 2003 for her portrayal of the younger sister of Jennifer Aniston's character on Friends, and earned a 2005 Tony Award nomination for her Broadway role in Sweet Charity.
"I'm really grateful that acting is the job that was chosen for me," Applegate said in April.
"I get really lost when I'm not working. Thank God for dance class . . . But acting is what I really have to do."
Applegate was among the celebrities due to appear on a research fundraising "Stand Up To Cancer" one-hour TV special, which is to air on all three major US networks on September 5.
