  • Iranian Killer In Orange County

    RedWine,

Thanks for the news. It's really sad to hear that. I actually red this news the same day and the guy's name is not Shahram, his name is Bahram Nazeri. I even thought he is somehoe related to Shahram Nazeri and may be that's why US government didn't really broadcasted anything as they always do!

Sad to hear a man has such backwards thoughts as to ask his wife to put aside her dreams just because of the children. A woman can be a good mother and still work outside of the home. To see that a man kills his wife for his own selfish reasons is unaccepatable. Wow, and to think this happened in Irvine and maybe 5 min away from where i live is a bit freaky.

its the survival of the fittest social order that's at fault along with male domination. the guy was an insecure jealous freak and gave himself the right to lose control... sad to know we live in such a world where such things happen...sad and frustrating...

do you have any evidence for what you're saying? what goes on in a person's mind is a scientific issue, and the evidence says you're wrong. Every human being has emotions and the same basic nature and I guarantee you this person was uniquely situated in a lifestory that led to this proposterous event. This doesn't mean you are endorsing his actions or that you are endorsing evil. Go against evil, but accept the facts....

he probably grew up in a house where he saw his mother in the house taking care of the children, and his dad was the big man around the house and he wanted to emulate that. blame his upbringing in addition to blaming him and his actions.

exactly its culture and global moral dissillusion that allows this stuff to happen; ofcourse we have to condemn the action but the fact is if this person had a different life (and the world was different) he could have turned out to be a prince. So instead of only blaming him we have to blame society so society improves itself as well.

the important question becomes which society to blame. Do we blame Iranian society for raising father's like his father which lead to son's like him who are controling or mother's like his who find wives for their sons from overseas? OR do we blame American society which shows killing people as the way to run away from problems? Look at US media, most of those who had marital problems got rid of the other person: OJ Simpson, Prince Charles (i really do think he was involved in Diana's death, etc.) rather than sit down and try to solve them. I am sure it would have been interesting to hear the wife's side of the story.

what's the biggest factor? US ideology and Western colonialism is the biggest factor even in the existence of stupid fathering mechanisms in Iran (by encouraging paternalism as the world order, causing conservative reaction to infiltration, and breeding culture of competition and non-compassion), but also in the US which has the most cases of psychotic behavior. There are other factors as well but this one seems to be the biggest.
