i think becuase man always wants to be aknoleged for his best atributes and recognized for who he is.
Concidering most persian take great pride in our rich history and culture. We want people to knwo that i am that, i am persian coming from my own history.
It is not necerily that we dont like arabs is that we want to be recognized for who we are and not be confused or mistaken by nother group that could share some fetures as us but who is not US.

i dont want you to think i am x when i am not y.
even thogh i share some charachtarestics with x.

in our case i think geogrophical region, some physical fetures, sound of language, and religion.

the thogh of one taking my identiy away or confusing it will make me antaganize not the observer(say people who confused you) but the other identiy that forces this upon me this case (arabs)

I dont see a reason why we cant like arabs, there are good people and bad people in each nationality and its not nice to think backwards in saying as a persian I dont like all arabs. i like arabs, the ones i have met have been fabulous people and I have a whole bunch of arab friends.
