  • Natural born introvert.

I fall into this category. I wonder if I'm not alone amongst members in this context. I get a lot of my mental energy from being left alone to think. I don't have the mental stamina for a steady stream of personality. When I do talk to people, I prefer topics that require major thought when involved. Instead of "small talk". It's a trait that has proven to be frustrating for some people. Ending in some awkward moments. From what research I have done, we the introverts are as poorly understood as we are assumed to be some how not normal. So I say Introverts unite. Now do you extraverts have any questions?

I know what you're saying reza-george, but I'm wondering if the category is valid. Its definately not a "born with" trait because many who are shy at first are wild at the end.

Whether we call our differences 'personality differences' or not (which I personally don't agree with), I see your point. But you'd be surprised how many people like a quiet person. The major difference about a more introverted person is trust. An extroverted person gains another's trust through honest rambling. An introverted person can be trusted in a more serious but slower way.

In any case, my conclusion is that one shouldn't limit themselves to one type of 'personality' over another. That's the problem these days... we all need to have more flexible personalities but we categorize ourselves instead... Its a problem because only flexibility will allow us to get along, advance, and eventually be happy.

Cheers and thanks for the post.
