Iran to increase candy exports
If Iran uses its full capacity it will be able to export up to 500 million US dollars of chocolate, biscuits and candy in the next two years.
"Given the fact that Iran's candy and chocolate exports have grown 5% in the current Iranian year, participation of private sector in economic activities is a necessity, " secretary for Guild of Candy and Chocolate Industry, Ali Movahhed told IRNA.
Pointing to the export of over $200m of candy and chocolate in the previous Iranian year, he added the export comprised only 2% of non-oil exports of Iran.
"UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, Afghanistan, Iraq and some of the countries in East Europe, Central Asia and the Far East are the target markets for the exports of candies and chocolates," he added.
