Restaurant goers are being warned about a kebab powder that has been found to contain a cancer-causing toxin.
Slough trading standards are urging local businesses and consumers not to use Suya Pepper Spiced Khebab Powder.
It comes after excess levels of aflatoxins - which is known to damage DNA and cause cancer in some animal species - was found in the spice.
Small amount of aflatoxin is unlikely to affect humans, but evidence suggests excess levels could be harmful.
Keith Eaglestone, head of trading standards at Slough Borough Council, said: "We will be keeping a lookout for this powder during routine inspections and if any is found it will be withdrawn and destroyed."
Aflatoxins occur naturally and are produced by certain moulds growing in food crops during production and storage.
