  • Find God Without Religion

Christianity, Judaism, Islam, or any other world religions aren't the only paths to God. Find God through yourself.

God is not a magical man made happy by prayers or blind faith.

If you can listen to yourself, you will find God.

Find a quiet place, free from outside influences. A dark room would do fine.

    Find yourself.

    Focus on one special thing.

This can be a person, object, or even your impression of God, but remember to focus on this one thing only.

To truly understand, you will become intoxicated; endorphins will rush into your system and you will become extremely blissful.

Keep in mind that this is very difficult to accomplish, and very few have done it themselves.

This feeling of bliss and happiness is your connection to God.

Some call it getting high, some say it's intoxication.

But the truth is that you are losing sense with all of your thinking functions.

You are losing anxiety, pain, and other bad emotions by connecting with your most primal roots.

Ever wonder why animals seem so happy?

They are not burdened with the power to think or care; they just feel what they feel.

Remember to find a dark, quiet room where you can rest or meditate.

    Focusing on anything is fine.

God doesn't have to be a white-bearded man in a robe.

Dobareh man raftam shoro kardi poshteh saram harf zadan??? LOL

Though I semi agree with your method there for sort of like texting God, like giving him message how things are going and what he should do to make your life a little better, it is not however how you will know/meet God. The only way and I emphesize the only way to know God is through your heart. Open your heart, embrace your spirit, love yourself and all life and you will get to know God.

Your finite mind is not the proper instrument in finding an infinite love which is God. You must meet God on his grounds which is infinite love for all. And since your heart can love infinitely it is the only common grounds to meet God.

I want to quote my Grandma here because her wisdom has always been so precious and priceless to me.

When I was about aummm may be 6 years old my Grandma and I were in her Rose garden (bagh-e gol mohamadi), her garden was so fragrant and so beautiful I could never get enough. I would walk behind her with a basket as she cut roses for her house and she would let me pick and choos some of them. So on one of our walks I told my grandma that I thought her garden was so beautiful even God would want to be in it. She smiled and said may be he is in it, may be he is here right now. I thought wow God in my grandmas garden and started to look around... she said what are you looking for? I said God, you said he may be here... she laughed and said keep looking behind the white ones.. so I ran to the other side of garden and looked everywhere, then got tired and went back in the house with her. She asked me did you find God in my garden... I said NO.. may be because I don't know what he looks like... Do you know God grandma? She said oh yes I do. Well can I know God? I asked. She said of course... Well how do I know God? (i was very foozol even then)... she smiled again and said " Khoda shenasi az khod shenasi miad"... I was puzzled and did not know exactly what she meant... but the cake va chaie looked too good for me to proceed any further in knowing God at that time (shekamoo)...lol

But those words stuck with me for years and years and it wasn't till much later on that I would know what she meant....
