Guzman's extraordinary trade
Julian de Guzman, midfield anchorman of Spanish Liga club Deportivo La Coruna, is prepared to go without sex for a year if he manages to score a goal against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Canadian midfielder made this astonishing statement in the early hours of Tuesday morning on television channel Localia.
"If I score against Madrid, I could be a year without having sex," he said.
De Guzman scored for Deportivo in their 3-1 defeat of Real in October 2005.
Deportivo are fifth from bottom in La Liga, but have improved in recent weeks.
Real have not won away at La Coruna since 1992 - and will not this weekend if De Guzman has anything to do with it.
