Brazilian soccer legend Pele will visit Tehran to get acquainted with the Iranian soccer, a member of Iran's Football Federation says.

"An agreement in this respect was signed after a meeting between Brazilian ambassador to Tehran and members of Iran's Football Federation," Mohammad-Hadi Ayatollahi, a member of federation's presiding board told IRNA.
The Brazilian star will visit Tehran in May to become familiar with the Iranian soccer, he added.
Born on October 23, 1940 in Brazil, Pele is considered by the most soccer fans as the greatest footballer of all time. He won the title of Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee.
Ayatollahi further said that efforts are being taken to secure a visit by the Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona.
In April, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a message to the Argentine star to hail his affection for the Iranian nation.
In a meeting with the Iranian officials in Buenos Aires in December 2007, Maradona said he would like to travel to Tehran.
"I have already met [Cuban President] Fidel [Castro], [Venezuelan President Hugo] Chavez, now I just want to meet your president, Ahmadinejad", Maradona told Iranian ambassador to Buenos Aires.
