makes sense, iran only tests the oldest missiles in its stockpile, makes no sense testing the ones right out of the factory line and some are bound to fail, many military hardware fail all the time, and because iran was trying to flex its muscles and push oil prices back up by a few dollars, made sense to show no weakness such as a failed missile.
There is nothing wrong with one having failed. Shows no weakness on iran's missile deterrent as 3 launched successfully, so if 500 were to be launched at israel, and 1/4 was to fail, 3/4 would still launch and lets say for the sake of argument only 15% hit targets, thats over 56 high payload missiles landing on top military and economic targets = mission success imo!
I think we underestimate our own abilities and capabilities, i mean the Iranian expat population, if anyone goes to any university in iran right now you will see a group of ellite students with abilities, knowledge and capabilities beyond anything i personally seen in university students in the uk, yes some will leave iran for the west, but a percentage are also taken up by iran itself, and part of that percentage go to the IRGC centre of R&D. I don’t think we’ve even seen 40% of iran’s capabilities, iran has shown enough to deter an attack, not to give away its full array of technology which would then give the enemy the upper hand.
