in the university i go to, which is in canada, there are two girls who are umm white but they cover their whole bodies up except their face and hands... wear scarf and lots of layers of clothing...
i thought in the middle east many women are fighting to be able to take off their veils and stuff.
i am guessing lots of people here are, or were brought up in a muslim culture. so what do you think about it?

IQ hmmm !
Well it depends where in the Middle East. Most Iranian women don't like to cover up, but in Iraq, before the US invasion, for example, about half of the women chose to cover up (now it is dangerous not to because of militants).
Iranians are more liberal than those around them.

i guess so... but it is in Canada
maybe it just looks weird cuz they are white people... one of them also covers up her daughter who is probably only 8
Oh ok, so they're white. They may still be Muslim...or perhaps they are Jewish. Married Jewish women cover their hair, but usually by shaving and wearing a wig I believe...

actually i said they weren't...
i think that there is nothing wrong with whatever they do... it's just they are the only women i have ever seen who cover up like that
i didn't know u can convert to islam
on the contrary, among the most important duties of a Muslim is to convert others.

Pancake joon, 3 or 4 times I've seen women here, in Canada, covered from head-to-toe ( they were even wearing black gloves to cover their hands) & the only thing that was visible were their eyes & each time I was so embarrassed cuz ppl were like-------->
