Farzad Nazem started his high-tech career in 1985 working at SYDIS and Rolm in various technical and managerial roles. In 1985, Nazem joined Oracle. He spent a total of ten years there, where he functioned in the role of vice president of Oracle's Media and Web Server division and a member of the Product Division Management Committee. In March of 1996, he joined Yahoo! as a senior vice president of engineering and surfing. He joined the firm one month before its massive IPO.
