i agree that a jewish republic is as hatefull as an islamic republic. And while Israel offers more freedoms to its citizens than Iran (mind you it has only offered citizenship to Jews and in select cases Palestinians) it certainly isn't offering any rights to the Palestinians it has displaced! I think it would have been valid to establish a new state on the territory that belonged to Britain, maybe even on the pretext of the influx of Jews to the region, but a secular state, not a Jewish state. There was the potential for a state that would make the region stable and open to all religions, that incorporated muslims, christians, jews, atheists, and whoever the heck else wanted to be a part of it, but instead we got this

However, I cannot agree with you that Israeli society (and I have many israeli friends-not to be the one to say "no you're wrong I have a friend who knows better than you" but rather having friends from the area has increased my interest in it) is fundamentally racist. Many Israelis are, especially in the settlements, but the sad truth is that many of those killed in terror attacks (in the cities) would have been young people averse to the idea that Jews are the chosen ones whose comfort is more important than the livelihood of others.

My guess is that these girls, encouraged to mock the people that those shells will harm or kill, are the daughters of settlers who should have left the northern region in the first place but decided it would be cool to be defiant, like those that resisted the evacuation of Gaza (and the displaced settlers in that situation were so well compensated I don't know why they would not want to leave).
