Blash is a young Iranian guitarist and singer. Blash is born in Tehran in early years of 80 decade and moved to Abu Dhabi and then to UK, he lives in Leeds now. He is working hardly nowadays to organising a debut concert for the launch of his album named Persian Prince. Blash is a fan of national and plays football, so one of the songs in his album is for Iran’s world cup team. In a friendly interview we talked with him about his background, plans and hopes.

PM: Thanking for interviewing with PM. Can you tell us a little about your background, and where you grew up?
Blash: I was born in Tehran and spent much of my early childhood there. Then my family moved to the United Arab Emirates where I started school again and learnt Arabic. After 6 years, my younger brother and I joined my older brother who had moved to the UK a few years previously at a boarding school towards the North of England.

PM: What is your education?
Blash: I graduated from Fashion at Leeds University (North England)

PM: Any special memory of school?
Blash: I have many memories from school, but the most memorable was when our house master made us run around the village in the early hours of the morning with our bare feet because we were a bit noisy!

PM: What sport do you play?
Blash: I’ve always been into sports and played rugby and football at high levels.

PM: Where do you live now and why do you live there?
Blash: At the moment I’m living in the centre of Leeds, close by to everything, including the train station which means I can get a train straight down to London and straight in the studio.

PM: Can you tell us a little about how you got started with music?
Blash: I started playing classical piano at a very young age. But I dropped out of it after a while. Then I went to a boarding school and started to sing and learn guitar when I heard Oasis. I would say they really inspired me. However when I was younger I used to sing along to Whitney when she brought out “I will always love you”

PM: Who were some of the biggest influence of your interpretation of the music?
Blash: Persian music is fairly new to me, I don’t know many Persian artists. The artist who has influenced me whilst growing up is Michael Jackson as he is one of my biggest idols.

PM: Who are your favourite musicians?

Blash: My favourite Persian musician of all time has got to be GOOGOOSH I like her style. She is the Madonna of the Persian music :)

My favourite though is who else but Michael Jackson. Surprise … I’ve liked him from a very early age. I sang and danced to his songs all the time.

PM: What would a big dream-come-true for you in this field?

Blash: I want a number one record, whether it’s in Persian, English, Arabic, or French. My big dream is to get a number one and to see people enjoying my sound.
PM: Where is your favourite place to play?

Blash: I love spending time in the studio. I think when you’re in the studio it’s the base of how your performance is going to be. You can come up with so many ideas.
I love performing, just give me a stage…!!

PM: Why?
Blash: I thrive on crowd interaction.

PM: Dessert Island, three things, what do you take?
Blash: Other than food or water…. Guitar, Mobile phone and a sharp knife

PM: You took five! You need a calculator as well …..
OK, what are some of the upcoming projects or events that you have planned in the near future?

Blash: I’m planning on organising a debut concert for the launch of the album Persian Prince. One of the songs in the album which I’m currently recording is for Iran’s world cup team. I hope we do really well in the World Cup 2006. It will be available to download soon.
My album will be available online from June 06. Official release date is 06.06.06
Aside from music, I also have plans to set up a clothes label called Persian Prince.

PM: Can you introduce your team?
Blash: I was quite lucky to meet a fantastic musician a couple of years ago through a friend, Bobak Saidi. Bobak and I now work together to write songs and produce lyrics. He is incredibly talented and we make a good team.

My brother owns a web design company in London, elaborations Ltd, so I go to him for all my internet needs. He has designed and developed my website, as well as promoting it to the internet market.
PM: Thank you for taking your time to interview with us

Blash: Thank you for supporting young artists
