  • Judaism and changing times

Actually, to be more specific. I am interested, similar to on this thread, how Judaism deals with changing times and changing gender roles. Also, how flexible are rules in orthodox Judaism?

G-d determines who walks into your life....It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

    Judasim is not normal

see religous jews are very bent on their rules and infact that is why religious jews have been able to survive because no matter what is going on around theme they dont change in fact you could say very
    kalechag
they rather die than abandon other g-ds or belife system

and becuase thay are like this the laws that keep jews from loosing their jewish identity are allways implemented, example not marrying out side, converting those who only if the person despritly wants to be jewsih.

now concidering all this you would expect that orthdox jews should not be able to asimilate in other cultures and their for have a "barbaric" view towards woman

yet they penerate every facit of were they live somthing you dont see in other orthodox religous people who are bent on their belifs

part to we should also know this

many time throgh out history especialy the last century some of the greatest most revolutiony thinkers have been jewish
many jews have lead and continue to lead the fight fot huma rights, woman rights and etc from being signifigant member in such orginizations as ACLU, ADL, and early on even in NAACP and african american rights

ok now that we know these lets talk about religious jews
first its important to define religous jews what do we mean

i belive or i think it is
some one who fallowes the torah's teaching very seriously and and lives his life according to the rules of talmud(laws derives from oral and written torah named halakha)

than these jews they treat womman rights very diffrantly
it is acctualy an intresting belife system
they do belive that woman are not equal but diffrent
but they belive both a womman and a man share the sae and should be granted equal right to life, happines and i guss maybe even liberty with in the contex of the torah.

but than again joubin this only an opinion based on my own personal exposmwnt of facts

and offcourse thier are relligous jews who belive israel is a sin and side with arrafat

and their are religious jews who boycoot other jews

and yet their are other religious jews study the kabbalah and they are even more diffrent.

but at the end of the day for some reason they are all jews and are ussualy united by the actiuons of other jews

except the reform and the reform well thats a totaly diffrent story
they have womman rabbis somthing the haraidi jews and orthodox jews totaly condemn but at the same time they love the woman rabbi becuse she spreads g-dly ness

ever heard of the expression put 2 jews in a room and you get three opinions

try askmoses.com if you are intrested
they even have woman rabbi and askmoses.com is supported by chabad which is a religious jewsh orginization

and if you are now even more confused than when you began reading this post welcome to my life of trying to fined out who i am.
