How does one become rich?working hard? Or, working smart? Safe, or risky investments? Being honest, or ...?

Personally I think it may be a combination of working hard and working smart, but I chose working hard just because I would like to think that if someone puts in the effort to work hard, it will pay off. I know the reality is quite different. Alot of those who work smart work less and get just as much if not more than those who work hard.

a minority of people by working hard, but a majority by luck, being immoral/taking advantage and abusing poor people!

for example, someone that is already rich has advantages in getting an education and job (eg clothing, stress, contacts, trust, banking/credit advantages), taking away the opportunity from less financially secure individuals who work harder. with some exceptions, they win the competition! and the neo-liberal/capitalist system makes the losers of the competition more poor, more ill/sick/distressed and throws them into the cracks of society, which is ultimately neo-liberal genocide.
