Here's the thing.... although this subject is "singers" - you should also understand some people are Artists. Some are actually songwriters and have a strong hand in the production of the album. Ex: you wouldn't put Britney spears and say Sheryl Crow in the same category. One is just a performer and the other actually writes and produces the music she performs. Some people are more discriminating about their music and want to support the real Artists. Pay attention to the credits in the albums to see who really does what and then you will educate yourself to know the difference. It's fine- there's room for everybody but it's best to know.
In the case of say ANDY or SIAVASH - they are really involved in the process of recording. Have a signature style. While some of the female singers may ask for certain styles of music for their albums....they are not writers. Now, when discussing "the new singers" let's examine this... you dissed SHANI - google her as SHANI RIGSBEE and you'll see that she's an experienced writer and recording artist outside of the persian community- you can't put her in that category that you did...It's nice that someone who's respected is singing in Persian and isn't even Persian! The others will have to prove themselves or the public will decide.....
If you look at the people as singers - Fine- Celine Dion and Kylie Minogue are singers - you can compare them as singers not Artists. But if you want to discuss the Value of these types of people.....you need to know the whole picture before you start to judge.........
