  • Im So Happy

Im so happy for what i saw in news yesterday!

Abbas and Olmert met in Jerusalem! and that was really great! so friendly they were to eachother! arafat and sharon never kissed

i hope something good comes out of this meeting! and that Israel gives that 100 million that belongs to palestinian and frees palestinian prisoners! and Palestinians free that young soldier and stop rockets!

still im really happy about that fact that they met! that is a start!

they dont get anytime on the news becuase they cant do anything
they israeli government cracks down on theme which i am very glade.

anyways the world is seeing that israel is a country that once peace and i am very glade that they have now passed the ball of peace in the palactinian hand
these are examples of passing the ball
held on to seiesfire despite rocket attacks that keep coming one even hitting a nursery
despite shooting of civillians in the westbank
releasing of 100 million doller in palastinian taxas
and more importantlity that i couldnt belive which i dont like but whatever for peace you have to pay ,and that is release of 150 palastinian prisinores with out the release of gilad shalit.

hopefully the palastinians will fallowe throgh
          and pass the ball back.

Mike, by "terrorist" do you mean "morally inferior"?
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine,

Youth critically wounded in Kassam attack on Sderot
By JPOST.COM STAFF AND NOAM BEDEIN

                Talkbacks for this article: 60

The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the Kassam attack on Sderot that wounded two ninth-grade boys, one critically, on Tuesday evening. The rocket was the seventh to have been fired at Sderot since Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the Red Alert alarm sounded throughout Sderot; 10 seconds later, the rocket landed near a group of schoolchildren who were headed for the nearest shelter. Ninth-graders Matan Cohen and Adir Bassad, however, had no time to reach the shelter and were hit by shrapnel.
Background: Just a matter of time before the next attack
The two were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, where doctors began operating.
Following the attack, Defense Minister Amir Peretz called Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and urged him to change Israel's restraint policy.
Peretz plans to convene defense officials for a consultation on the situation on Wednesday.
"We cannot continue to restrain ourselves," Peretz told the prime minister. "We cannot let Islamic Jihad do whatever they want, and we need to take action to stop the Kassams."
Doctors told an Israel Radio interviewer shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday that Bassad, who suffered hits to his chest and stomach, was not yet stabilized, and a surgical team was battling to save his life.
Cohen, whose major wound was to his leg, was reported stabilized.
A number of other people were reported in shock.
One of the medics who treated the boys reported that one of them was likely to lose his legs. One of the boys had a bone sticking out of one of his legs, he said, and the other's ankle was completely twisted.
Meanwhile, the scene outside was chaotic as agitated residents came out of their homes to survey the damage. Cars windows were smashed, and the upstairs windows of homes in the vicinity were completetly shattered.
Frustration and anger were the prevailing emotions at the scene of the attack.
"Our children are getting hurt over here and nobody's doing anything about this," one resident shouted.
"We can't go out anywhere, not to the shopping mall, or anywhere," another resident said.
Others vented their anger at the press members who were covering the incident. "You guys are going to interview us and maybe show a minute or two, but you don't really feel our pain," one resident accused.
Earlier in the afternoon, Palestinians fired a Kassam from the northern Gaza Strip that landed in an open area of the Sha'ar Hanegev region. No one was wounded, and no damage was caused. The Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, a group of Israeli ambassadors and consuls to European nations were due to tour Sderot on Tuesday and view firsthand the damage caused by the continual rocket fire.
Early Tuesday morning, four Kassam rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Sderot. Three rockets fell in open territory outside the city, causing neither casualties nor damage, while one landed near the Sderot home of a former resident of the Gaza settlement Elei Sinai. A total of 62 rockets have been fired at Israel since the Israeli-Palestinian cease-fire was declared in November.

                    ---Relationship to thread

I'm not interested in being forced to pm about this. The question wasn't off topic. It's quite related to the statements made by the author of the thread as well as your own statements on the topic.

One of the ways it is related aside from the statements on terrorism made by you and Saeid is that Hamas is not recognized by Israel and this is the main problem in dialogue and peace between Israel and Palestine. Everyone knows this, its not trivial. The question is whether Israel is justified in this approach. But I'll ask the author of the thread for his opinion about whether the topic of non-recognition of Hamas is related to the topic.

Saeid jan, aya rabeteye Hamas va Israel (makhsusan een ke Israel meege az nazare maanavi az Hamas balatare, va be een khater ba Hamas sohbat nemeekone) marbut be een thread hast ya na? Aslan nazare khodet darbareye een cheeye? Agar tarjeeh meedi darbareye oon mozu tu een thread sohbat nakoneem, eenja begu, va aslan narahat nemeesham. Rastesho bekhay ghasd nadaram kheyli mofasal beram. Ramin

                    --- Israel, Hamas & Terrorism

If moral inferiority is part of terrorism, then Hamas can't be morally superior or morally equal to Israel. They must be morally inferior. I'd like to see someone make an argument that Hamas is morally inferior to Israel. That would be a new way of evaluating the justification of the word terrorist by Israel and their non-recognition of Hamas.

                            wow wow wow owo wow

                            by the way
definition of terrorist according to webster is this

4 : violent or destructive acts (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands

so for all to be on same page and clear of what they mean lets use the same language
and if a word is going to give or creat a diffrent definition lets discuss it come up with a definitian we agree on and continue

yes, but there is clearly a difference between Hamas and Israel. The difference is that Hamas is a resistance movement. They need unity and recognition of an enemy is a basic mechanism for unity. In other words, their "non-recognition" is more circumstantial than Israel's, implying, perhaps, an inherent flexibility in it depending on circumstances... while Israel has made the choice rationally.
