What is BANDARI music?

People living in the South of Iran around the harbour of the Persian Gulf are called BANDARI.

These people have their own music and language that is also called BANDARI.
BANDARI is a rhythmic type of dance music which is played mostly in weddings and other celebrations. The BANDARI language is the Southern dialect of Iran.
The pure BANDARI music is played fast and slow. BANDARI's major musical instruments are:
Ney Hamban (is an instrument made of goat's skin similar to Irish bag pipes, played by blowing)

Dombak (is an instrument made of animal skin and skin of wallnut's tree, played by striking with fingers and hand)

Def (is an instrument made of animal skin and a wooden frame like the head of a drum, with jingles on the rim, similar to the Tambourine, played by striking with hand)

Darbuka (is an Arabic musical instrument made of fish skin and clay, played by striking with hand)

Bandari music has the similar style and melody of Arabic music which uses quarter tone that can be vocalized and played.
