Ban on flights by Iran Air within Europe
The European Commission has imposed a ban on flights by Iran Air within Europe.
The ban, which is effective immediately, comes after a series of inspections, a number of serious incidents and a failure by the Iranian authorities to take action.
Iran Air flies to many European cities, including Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport three times a week.
The European Commission has also banned flights into the European Union by all Sudanese airlines.
