Is no sex before marriage outdated?

Contraception, media, but also perhaps human nature, have contributed to the argument that sex before marriage is outdated. Even families who are EG devoutly Christian, albiet modern, do not seem to be able to, and care to, prevent their children having sex before marraige.

The arguments for sex before marriage include that

(1) due to modern circumstances such as contraception and media, it will be hard to prevent someone from sex before marriage without substantially affecting the person's health and well being.

(2) these new circumstances do not give rise to a "necessary evil", but are in fact desirable, enhancing the chances of a happy life.

If anyone has arguments are rebuttals on this topic feel free.

you're right perhaps. women have been discriminated against regarding sex before marriage. some would say that its not discrimination because men are by nature more driven than women, but that just seems like an excuse to cage women to me. Its a question of science. In any case, I personally agree with you, though perhaps some people wouldn't.
