Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed speculation that he will leave the Premier League champions at the end of the season.
"I don't have to be confident I am staying. I have a contract until 2010, which is important," he told the BBC before Chelsea's 3-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
"I am manager today, I am the manager until the end of the season and I believe I will be the manager until the end of 2010," he added.
"If I believe what I read in the press there are 11 candidates for my job but I don't get influenced by that.
"I just want to do my work well - the best I can," he said. "The players feel that I am exactly the same - with the same desires and motivation.
"We are together to chase our targets and we are alive in all of them," he said referring to the pursuit of four trophies -- the Champions League, Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup.
There have been widespread reports in the British media that Mourinho's relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been strained but he declined to discuss the issue.
"The only thing I can tell you 100 percent for sure is that everyone at this club wants to win," said Mourinho. "That is the most important thing and when I read that we are not pushing in the same direction that is completely untrue.
NO COMPLAINTS
"Roman and I speak. We speak as always but with a difference. The difference is that Roman is not in London for quite a long time but I have no complaints about that because he is the owner of this club and he does not have to give any explanation about his professional and personal life.
"He pays me and chief executive Peter Kenyon quite a lot to run this club so he does not have to be around. "When he is back he is always welcome in our dressing room. When he is not around it is because he has other things to do or he prefers to do other things."
Mourinho said that he will not bring in any new players during the transfer window.
"I have John Terry, I have Peter Cech, I don't need more players. I am not going to sign anybody in January," he said.
He added that he expects England captain Terry to return to the defence for the league match at Charlton Athletic on Feb. 3.
Premiership champions Chelsea eased into the last 16 of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win at home to Nottingham Forest here at Stamford Bridge.
First-half goals from Andriy Shevchenko, Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel on saw the Blues overpower Forest, twice winners of the European Cup but now in League One, the third division of English professional football.
Earlier Sunday, West Browmich Albion continued their FA Cup campaign with a 3-0 win away to arch West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Goals either side of half-time from Diomansy Kamara and Kevin Phillips put Albion, chasing promotion to the Premiership, in a strong position against their fellow team from the second-tier Championship before Zoltan Gera added a third 12 minutes from the finish.
Leaders Manchester United will host Premier League rivals Reading and champions Chelsea will be at home to either second division Norwich City or third division Blackpool in the FA Cup fifth round.
Monday's draw lined up two other all-Premier League ties, with either Arsenal or Bolton Wanderers meeting Blackburn Rovers and Fulham hosting Tottenham Hotspur in a London derby.
The draw was kind to Middlesbrough, who first have to settle a home replay against third division Bristol City, with a tie awaiting at home to second division West Bromwich Albion.
Watford will similarly be favourites against Ipswich Town, as will Manchester City for their northwest derby trip to Preston North End.
At least one second division club will reach the quarter-finals after Plymouth Argyle were drawn against Derby County. The ties will be played on the weekend of Feb 17-18.
Manchester United will come up against a former favourite in Reading manager Steve Coppell, who was a winger at Old Trafford from 1975-83 and helped them win the FA Cup in 1977.
Both their league meetings this season have been close-run affairs, with United edging it 3-2 at home last month but having to settle for a 1-1 draw at Reading in September.
Chelsea, already through to next month's League Cup final, have enjoyed more cup fortune after a hopelessly one-sided 3-0 win over third division Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Drawn at home again, they will face either a modest Norwich, who are languishing in 17th place in the second division, or a Blackpool side who are below Forest in the third tier.
Blackburn will also have to wait to discover their opponents after Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Bolton on Sunday at the Emirates.
Bolton, who trounced Arsenal 3-1 at the Reebok Stadium in a Premier League game two months ago and have won four of their last five home games against Arsene Wenger's side, will clearly fancy their chances in the replay on Feb. 14.
The final is due to be played at the new Wembley stadium on May 19.
Jose Mourinho has ruled out any new signings arriving at Stamford Bridge before 31st January.
The Chelsea boss is preparing to welcome back John Terry from injury and is adamant his skipper, along with the likes of Petr Cech, Arjen Robben and Joe Cole are better players than any available in the market.
All four players have been out injured for extended spells this term - indeed, Cole is unlikely to play again until the end of the season.
But Mourinho has faith in his squad, despite recent rumours that he was unhappy at being prevented from signing new players following a dispute with owner Roman Abramovich.
"I prefer John, I prefer Petr Cech, I prefer Robben and Joe Cole," Mourinho told Sky Sports.
"I know Joe Cole will only be able to play if we reach finals at the end of the season, he will be able to play these big matches for us, but John is the man for now and until 31st January and Robben is not ready now but on 3rd or 4th February we can have him.
"These are the players that I want, more than any other players available in the market."
Asked if that means he will not be signing anyone in January, Mourinho replied simply: "Yes."
