Lance Armstrong & Ashley Olsen's Latest N.Y. Hookup
Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen appear to be getting friendly: The unlikely twosome have met up at least twice this week while the former Tour de France champ is in town for the New York Marathon, sources tell PEOPLE.
The pair first shared a special moment on Monday night, getting close at the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Park Hotel. (The rendezvous was well-documented in New York's newspapers on Wednesday.)
An observer tells PEOPLE: "Lance was hanging with her, definitely. [Olsen] was very flirtatious, and was sitting on his lap."
Another source said Olsen was with a group and "hanging out, having a good time."
Armstrong, 36, and Olsen, 21, reunited again in the wee hours Wednesday at hip restaurant the Waverly Inn. (Armstrong was there earlier that evening with Texas pal Owen Wilson.)
The retired cyclist and fashion designer Tory Burch recently broke up after a year-long relationship. A rep for Armstrong had no comment.

Report: Britney Spears Not Allowed to Drive Kids
After being told that Britney Spears ran a red light with her young sons in the car, a judge ruled Friday that the pop star may no longer drive with the children, TMZ.com reports.
The sealed order came after a 90-minute hearing with lawyers for Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Attorneys declined comment on the reported ruling after the hearing.
"Orders were made. ... I can't discuss the content of those orders," says Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. "Documents have not been released by the court, and I don't know if they will be. The matter will be continued at a future date."
Spears's lawyer Anne Kiley told reporters afterwards that everything "was great."
At the request of Federline's attorney, Shane Partridge, the photographer who filmed subpeoned video of Spears's allegedly running a red light on Nov. 8 was also present, but he did not participate in the hearing.
"The tape of Britney running the red light was not viewed today, but it was a major point of the hearing," the source tells PEOPLE. "Britney's lawyers brought in an expert who argued that, for whatever reason, Britney could have made the turn through the red light."

Brad Pitt Drops Out of State Of Play
Brad Pitt has dropped out of the soon-to-be-shot film State of Play, according to Variety. Universal Pictures is already trying to replace the star. The original Nov. 15 production start date has come and gone, and the studio could begin losing other cast if it does not begin shooting in L.A. and D.C. soon.
The studio is already trying to replace Pitt. The story of a politico-turned-journalist whose loyalties are tested when he spearheads a newspaper's investigation into a murder is set to star Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn, along with Pitt's replacement.
Much of the problem, for Pitt, seems to stem from the fact that he wasn't happy with recent re-writes, and now, no more can be done during the writers strike. A rep for Pitt could not be reached. Universal issued this statement: "Brad Pitt has left the Universal Pictures production of State of Play. We remain committed to this project and to the filmmakers, cast members, crew and others who are also involved in making the movie. We reserve all rights in this matter."

Scarlett Johansson: 'I Am Engaged to Barack Obama'
Scarlett Johansson is a one-man kind of gal. That lucky (albeit unlikely) guy? Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
"I am engaged ... to Barack Obama," Johansson, 23, announced to Associated Press reporters as she returned from a her USO tour to the Persian Gulf. "My heart belongs to Barack, and that is who I am currently, finally, engaged to. Yes."
Joking Johansson, who stepped out for Obama at the Iowa caucus, was actually deflecting a question regarding whether she was engaged to fellow actor and current boyfriend Ryan Reynolds, the AP reports. Obama, 46, for the record, is happily married.
As for the attention she received overseas, she said, "Everybody that I met there was so incredibly friendly and polite and genuine and generous. "hey were so, so sweet. I mean, I was just amazed."

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Chinese-born actress Bai Ling was arrested for shoplifting at Los Angeles International Airport after a gift shop employee accused her of stealing two magazines and a pack of batteries, police said on Thursday.
Ling, who has appeared in such films as "The Crow" and "Red Corner," was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon after leaving the store with two tabloid magazines and the batteries, Los Angeles Airport Police spokesman Jim Holcomb said.
She was booked on suspicion of shoplifting the items worth $16, a misdemeanor, and ordered to appear in court on May 5, Holcomb said.
On her personal blog, the 37-year-old actress posted pictures of herself standing outside the Southwest Airlines terminal at LAX on Wednesday but did not mention the arrest.
Ling was born in Chengdu, China and appeared in Chinese films before moving to the United States in the 1990s and landing her first major Hollywood film role in "The Crow."
She has since starred opposite Richard Gere in "Red Corner" in 1997 and on the TV series "Lost."
