Video splitter

hi guys, i am trying to upload some of the videos i have recorded from my tv tuner onto youtube, the problem is i come across a lot of video splitters/cutters that do not have mpg capabilities, they do have mpeg but that slight difference is enough for my videos not being able to be split into sections. if there is a video cutter software that will cut mpg files, please let me know, even if it is a trial version, thx everyone.
