opinions are great, but if they dont have logical support then they just fall though. the title of the thread is "brave woman in tehran" not "pretty woman in tehran". the discussion was not about whether she is Miss Beautiful or not, it was the significance of what she did that was being discussed. actually, you do know her personality, look at what she did. if you judge her based on what she did, she is a strong, charismatic, brave iranian woman, traits that all of us iranian girls should aspire to have. just because you have never seen her or sat down to lunch with her doesnt mean you dont know her. peoples actions speak louder than words.

so you're saying you didnt judge her when you said she wasnt pretty and when you asked if she was persian? not all persian women are pretty (at least according to your standards), but you seem to think all of them should be and since this lady wasnt you even questioned her persianness. going against the flow when there are severe consequences is looked upon as being brave. Brave means "to challenge, to dare, showing courage under difficult and dangerous conditions" sedaye mano to az jayeh garm miyad, we are sitting here getting to waltz around and you can even put up half naked pictures of yourself while poor girls in iran have to worry about showing their hair. so while you are here and you get to do as you please, you arent in a position to belittle what she did and say she isnt brave.

I rememmber when i was about 10 (in tehran) i never always wore roo sari, and one night i was in the car and police maro kesheed kenare khiaboon and had a go at my dad choon ke roo sari saram nabood... i was 10 ! hala agar girls start wearing no hejab in tehran,,, what they gonna do about it ?

ارديبهشت داغ تهران، اتوبوس خط تجريش-انقلاب...ناگهان زنی با اين هيبت و هيات سوار اتوبوس می شود، مقعنه اش را به دست گرفته و نگاههای شگفت زده مردم به خودش را رصد می کند!

عکس گرفتن از اين صحنه واقعا مشکل بود، چون هنوز از فمينيست بودن يا مجنون بودن مشاراليها اطلاعی در دست نبود و ممکن بود هر آن به سمت من و دوربين حمله ور شود، ولی با موفقيت عکاسی شد و بعد از شليک ! دوربين سالم به پايگاه خود بازگشت
