it is really like an addiction, she coped with her father's death by eating a lot, and it got outta control, these people need serious help, and it has 2 be gradual, or they will have a heartfailure, going into a diet bootcamp will not do the trick, they need encouragement and motivation to go for their goals.

i see alot of people like that girl in the uk, there are those that are born with a eating disorder and it gradually builds up, and there are those that start up later. The government provides help but you have to be determined aswell. Many of them just say they want to and dont do anything, while there are those that actually take action. If this girl is determined she should take action and not just accept her addiction.Originally posted by Nutcase View Postwhat an ignorant thing to say!Vote Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf

yes in every aspect of life, if you want something bad enough you give it your all to make it happen, but we are not all the same, we cannot judge and say she just needs to have discipline in order to loose weight, because its an addiction, it takes time and effort, not everyone is motivated in that way. calling her 'torshide' is insensitive, she is only 15 and has her whole life to make a change for the better; bullies drop names, and i would like to think you are not one of them dear ghalibaf.

Omadammmmmmmmm lolOriginally posted by csite View Postzahra, kojayee biay ino dorost rastish koni???
seriously,.. that is quite sad!
Her parents are to blame. Its down to parents to teach there own kids good habbits and correct/healthy ways of eating.. What parent would want to put there child through all these health complications as well as all the bullying/depression/self haltred and discomfort she must feel.
A gastric bypass should be given without a question. But that also has complications, specially for a 15 year old who is (should) still be growing.
Alot of will power and motivation is needed by herself if she reali wants to see changes. And im very sure she does!
The thing is, if she did something about it and lost a few lbs, it would motivate her to carry on and make her want to try harder and harder. She needs to give her body time to get used to it. Patience is a virtue
Good luck to her!!Last edited by purrsian_cat; 04-19-2009, 03:27 PM..Proud to be Persian.

'developed an eating disorder' ...correct.Originally posted by ghalibaf View Postno aziz, heres an example
what i mean is they are born and from before they even reach 1 they have an eating disorder.
however, scientists have discovered a 'fat gene' so fatness can be genetic. But still, im not sure i totally believe that as there is too little evidence..Proud to be Persian.
