    Be Good Reader

Kheili deghat kardam beh shomaha ! 90% shomaha hoseleyeh khoundaneh 2 ta khat ro nadarin ! hala tanbal hastin ya zoud hoselatoun sar mireh, nemidounam! vali ageh injuri pish berin, chand saleh digeh hatta, khoundan neveshtan ham yadetoun mireh tanbal khaoumha va tanbal aghayoun.hahaha j/k

Many people enjoy reading as a way to relax and enrich their minds. If you want to start reading for pleasure or to improve your reading skills, these steps can help.

    Steps

Get a library card and be prepared to spend a lot of time there browsing. Libraries are wonderful places to find a variety of books.

Find a quiet, comfortable place to read so that you aren’t disturbed. Make sure it is somewhere with good lighting where you can relax.
Pick reading material that interests you. Read the backs of books or the inside of the dust jacket for a brief summary of the plot.

Find a book that's comfortable for you to read. Skim the first few pages--if you have trouble understanding what the author's trying to say, you may not enjoy the book.

If you have trouble visualizing the story, pay attention to the introductions of characters and places. Try to see each in your mind. 'Seeing' the story will make it more real to you and easier to remember.

Try to take the book you're reading with you wherever you go.
Return to the library regularly to get new books to read.

    Tips

You may want to read for a certain amount of time (at least 10 minutes) every day.

Don't avoid the children's section! Many books written for children are wonderful novels on their own.

If you do not know the meaning of a word, try using context clues to figure it out. If that doesn't work, then look it up in the dictionary.
Parents can help their children be good readers by reading to them when they are young.

    Warnings

Don't give up if you get frustrated or get a headache. If you aren't used to reading on a regular basis, it will be difficult at first. Stay with it and you will be rewarded.

Don't be upset if you find a book where you can hardly understand any of the words. Some authors like to sound educated by using obscure or difficult words--many people can't read these books.

How to Make a Friendship Book

This memento preserves special times spent with treasured friends. It's a perfect project for the end of the school year and a great project for friends to do together.

            Steps

Buy a blank book or special scrapbook pages and a scrapbook binder or cover.

Dedicate a page or section in the book to each friend that you want to include.

Sort through photographs, notes, letters, ticket stubs, souvenirs, cards and other items that remind you of each particular friend.

Use the items to create interesting collages on the pages.

Add handwritten or typed words. Examples: "Our Favorite Hangout" and "On

May 2, 2006, we took a road trip." Use phrases that have meaning to the two of you: "Cool, dude!"

Frame photos with scrapbook paper to dress them up. Add decorations such as paper shapes or designs.

Ask each friend to write a description of his or her favorite time spent with you and include these descriptions in the book.

Make a special cover for each friend's section in the book by drawing or creating an illustration of his or her name.

Design a cover for the book and call it "Special Friends," "Cherished Moments" or some other title that has meaning to you both.

            Tips

Be sure to use acid-free supplies so that your book will last.

Use a color copy machine to copy the pages and give each friend copies of his or her own section of the book.

This book is also a nice way to remember people you have dated.

Suggest this project to middle school or high school kids.
