Apparently, if someone's said a lie and you ask them about it (e.g. "Why were you late this morning" "Oh, the bus broke down"), if they look to the left a split-second before answering your question then its supposed to mean that theyre lying because they need to think of an answer. Apparently we do it sub-consciously without realising
Not too sure if theyre supposed to look to the left or to the right though.

If there are any psychologists here then maybe they can confirm this.
