Sorry I am late to this but I will give my opinion. I always thought of homosexuality as being a burden because while I don't think it's wrong to be homosexual, I think it is morally wrong to satisfy homosexual desires.

IMO it would be accurate to label it a disease because it prevents people from reproducing, or in other words, completing one of the fundamental functions of any living organism. I don't know why people get so upset when it is called a disease.... I don't have any problem with cancer, but I call that a disease as well.

Of course, it can be argued that it isn't a disease because the population growth needs to be stunted somehow...

I would never suggest that the personality of anyone is diseased unless they are a serial killer or something like that. What I mean to say is that, biologically speaking, there is an element of...illness, if you like, because the person can't reproduce. And if somebody is incapable of having a child, they are afflicted with a problem, but this problem is not their personality (which includes being gay) but is rather unfortunately caused by it. An illness in the same sense of a cancer or something like that. I mean this sympathetically, not cynically...
