Coyote Ugly (2000)

In COYOTE UGLY, an aspiring songwriter, Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo) leaves her small-town home and her supportive father (John Goodman) for New York City in hopes of starting a music career. But life in the big city is harder than she imagined. Feeling defeated, and unemployed, she hears about a job opening at a bar called Coyote Ugly, and persuades the bar owner, Lil (Mario Bello) to give her a chance among the bar's beautiful brigade of bartenders. When Violet arrives for work the bouncer tells her it's a quiet night, but when she goes inside the bar she is hit by a wall of throbbing music and howling men. Two women are atop the bar, pulling a customer back over it, pulling up his shirt, and pouring beer on his chest. Welcome to COYOTE UGLY. How will Violet deal with the bar? How will it deal with her? What of her songwriting plans? Inside this raucous, raunchy movie, coproduced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer (FLASHDANCE) is a sweet romance between Violet and Kevin (Adam Garcia) a refreshing escape from the chaos of the bar.

Tales from the Crypt: The Complete First Season (2005)

Television viewers got a fright in 1989, when TALES FROM THE CRYPT made the transition from EC comicbook to TV show. Hosted by the Cryptkeeper, each episode of the show offered a new, ghoulish tale for the audience to sink their teeth (or fangs) into. The show originated on HBO, and all six episodes from the first season are included here. It was such a success that myriad CRYPT-inspired spin-off's resulted, including an animated series, several feature films, and seemingly infinitesimal merchandising opportunities. A popular favorite among horror film fans, TALES FROM THE CRYPT also appeals to anyone who loves the visceral thrill of jumping out of their seat as some terrifying scenes unfold in front of them.

Black Hawk Down (2001)

BLACK HAWK DOWN is director Ridley Scott's (GLADIATOR) adaptation of the true war story as told in Mark Bowden's book of the same title. The film takes place in 1993 when the U.S. sent special forces into Somalia to bring food and humanitarian aid to the starving population. Using Black Hawk helicopters to lower the soldiers onto the ground, an unexpected attack by Somalian forces brings two of the helicopters down immediately. From there, the U.S. soldiers must struggle to regain their balance while enduring heavy gunfire.

Hide and Seek" surprises with its intensity and grip. It starts out like an ordinary family psychological thriller, with a hint of the supernatural and seemingly predictable twists, then gradually turns much eerier and more unexpected--and even richer and deeper--than we first imagined. I don't consider myself an easy mark, but this movie scared me, both because the actors are so good (not just De Niro and Fanning, but the whole ensemble) and because the filmmakers keep steeping us in visual dread--shadows, angles, deep woods and icy compositions of fear and loathing.

The story picks up six months after the horrifying events that terrorized Rachel Keller and her son Aidan in Seattle. Rachel realizes that the vengeful Samara is back and more determined than ever to continue her relentless cycle of terror and death.
