Shadmehr Aghili's concert in Washington D.C.
Hello all,
After so many years, his first performace in the US was on Friday! It was really exciting to see him there. It was at Warnet theater in 13th Street, D.C. Tickets were on sale on TicketMaster and here were the prices: Front row: $200 and the other rows in the first floor was $150. So many people including myself had bought the $57 which was in second floor. There were really few people who could afford to pay $200. So the first floor was empty!! (During the concert security people came and asked everyone on second floor to move to the first floor for free)
The concert was supposed to start at 8:00 and door was supposed to open at 7:00. They opened the door at 8:00 and concert started at 9:00! And Shadmehr showed up at 9:00 and he didn't feel good at all. He was really out of it for the first one hour and kept forgetting the songs. Then he started to sing his most famous songs and brought in a group of dancer with beautiful dresses. Almost with every song, he had a group of dancers! Very very impressive. Then he performed a Irish song only using his violon and then the Nazanine Maryam song all done by his electronic violon.
After break he felt much much better and even asked people to see if other people are high and drunk,too or not!! He was really funny and people were so excited to see him. He even made the same exact noise as Joojeh and Bolbol and Asb and Olagh using his violon! He had the best performance ever.
