not sure.. i didn't have any problem with it.. might have something to do with media player codecs or something. I use VideoLan player, you don't to have codecs for that, it play almost anything, even incomplete .avi files, or the files you are downloading, while you are downloading them.

btw.. there one thing though.. if u have a TV out, and like to watch your movies on TV.. this is not the best player.
