dude iran was a islamic country during shah's time too, and look how great iran was. it was one of the great country.My dad came to u.s. 37 years ago and he says anywhere you should your iranian passport you were much respected, now a days you show your iranian passport they search you for an hour.

im not pro islam or against it. to me islam is another religion just like jewdism and christianity, they all say the same thing (if your not one of us your going to hell). my point is any country thats ruled by religion is going down to shit. It doesn't matter what religion.

Yeah but during the Shah's time Islam took a back seat to secularism and progressivism. Now Im not trying to defend the Shah who was bad in his own ways, or say that other religions are not as bad.

Christianity and Judaism have their own issues, but that is up to Europe to take care of.

Islam however is personal for me. I am an Iranian, with Muslim relatives and I see what Islam has done. Though Iran was technically Muslim during the Shah's era it was not as prominent.

Look were Islam has gotten Iran. Now every Iranian prays to some remote God, Allah who loves to kill and hurt his enemies, and they worship Ali and Hussein who killed Iranians. They have forgotten of Kuroush and Dariush, patriachs who did more for our people than ALi and Hussein.

When people believed the grave at Pasargad was Solomon's many flocked to visit. When they found out that it belonged to Kuroush not many visited it anymore. They may more respect to the Jewish Solomon than to Kuroush a great humanitarian leader.

I just got to say I want an Iranian country, not a Muslim one. Religion is personally, not governmental.
