شهرهای مختلف جهان سه شنبه شب شاهد برگزاری چند ديدار دوستانه فوتبال بود که در مهمترين ديدار تيم پرتغال مقابل برزيل به برتری رسيد.

در اين ديدار که در ورزشگاه امارات لندن برگزار شد، تيم پرتغال با مربيگری اسکولاری برزيلی موفق شد با دو گل دقايق ۸۲ و ۸۹ سيمائو و کارواليو تيم برزيل را شکست دهد.

در اين ديدار کريستيانو رونالدو در روز تولد ۲۲ سالگی اش کاپيتان تيم ملی پرتغال بود. اسکولاری اعلام کرد دليل کاپيتانی رونالدو وصيت سيلوا، نايب رييس فدراسيون فوتبال پرتغال بود. سيلوا چند روز قبل درگذشت.

همچنين تيم برزيل در اين ديدار رونالدينيو و روبينيو را به دليل مصدوميت در اختيار نداشت.

چهارشنبه*شب24 ديدار دوستانه در سراسر جهان برگزار شد و تيم*ها به محك بازيكنان خود براي رقابت*هاي آينده پرداختند.

به گزارش ايسنا، در روزي كه تيم ملي ايران در ورزشگاه آزادي برابر بلاروس به تساوي دو بر دو رضايت داد، چندين ديدار در شهرهاي مختلف اروپا برگزار شد. از نتايج عجيب اين بازي*ها شكست خانگي فرانسه وانگلستان برابر آرژانتين واسپانيا بود.

آلمان هم در ديداري دوستانه با سه گل از سد سوئيس يكي از دو ميزبان رقابتهاي يورو 2008 گذشت.

With England 35 minutes from another embarrassing 0-0 tie, Stephen Gerrard got his nation back on track -- at least for a night.

Gerrard scored a pair of second-half goals and David Nugent added one in injury time to give England a 3-0 victory over Andorra in a European Championship qualifier.

England (3-1-2), which ended a five-game winless streak, has 11 points in Group E, two behind Croatia (4-0-1) and even with Israel (3-1-2) and Russia (3-0-2). Only the top two teams in each group advance automatically to next year's tournament.

Before Gerrard's first goal, players were jeered by the 17,000 English fans who made the trip to Barcelona, Spain.

"During the game it isn't nice for the players, certainly," England captain John Terry said. "They're the fans, entitled to their opinion. But I think for the players' sake, and England's sake, it's best if they keep their opinions until after the game."

Wayne Rooney chested a ball to Gerrard at the edge of the penalty area, and Gerrard scored on a low volley in the 54th minute. Gerrard scored the second in the 76th after taking Jermaine Defoe's through pass and slowly rolling the ball under goalkeeper Koldo Alvarez. Nugent, making his international debut, tapped in Defoe's low shot as it was crossing the line in injury time.

"I'm proud of the players. We've won the game and now we move on," said England coach Steve McClaren, who has been under criticism that intensified following Saturday's 0-0 tie at Israel.

World Cup champion Italy beat visiting Scotland 2-0 at Bari on goals by Luca Toni in the 12th and 70th minutes. Italy (3-1-1) is second in Group B, two points behind Ukraine and France (both 4-1), and Scotland (4-2).

"Maybe I was being presumptuous, but I expected nothing less," said Italy coach Roberto Donadoni, who also has been criticized. "This team showed its quality."

The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Spain, Poland and defending champion Greece also won qualifiers.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst scored a late goal to lead the Netherlands (4-0-2) over Slovenia 1-0, and the Czech Republic moved back into a tie for first place in Group D with a 1-0 win over Cyprus as Radoslav Kovac scored his first international goal in the 20th minute. Ireland (4-2-1), which trails the Czechs and Germans by three points, beat visiting Slovakia 1-0 on Kevin Doyle's 12th-minute header at Dublin following Damien Duff's free kick.

Spain (3-2) moved into third place in Group F with nine points after Andres Iniesta scored a 79th-minute goal in a 1-0 win over visiting Iceland. Poland (5-1-1) opened a five-point lead in Group A by beating Armenia 1-0 in Maciej Zurawski's goal in the 26th minute.

Greece (4-1) moved one point behind first-place Turkey (4-0-1) in Group C, getting a 66th-minute penalty kick from Angelos Basinas in a 1-0 victory over Malta.

Israel beat Estonia 4-0 with teenage forward Ben Sahar scoring two goals, and Roberto Colautti and Idan Tal added the others.

In exhibition games, Denmark won 1-0 at Germany on Nicklas Bendtner's 81st-minute goal at Duisburg and France over visiting Austria 1-0 at Saint-Denis on Karim Benzema's goal in the 53rd.

World Cup winners Italy and runners-up France can take significant steps towards the Euro 2008 finals before the curtain falls on the international season on Wednesday.

Reigning European champions Greece, who have also made an excellent start to their campaign, should pick up another three points when they face Moldova in Crete in their bid to reach the finals in Austria and Switzerland and defend their title.

Italy, who squeaked a narrow 2-1 win in the Faroe Islands in their Group B match on Saturday, will be keen to beat Lithuania in Vilnius after stumbling to a 1-1 draw against them in their opening qualifier in Naples last September.

France, who lead Italy by two points and beat Ukraine 2-0 in Paris on Saturday, are also expected to be too strong for visitors Georgia in Auxerre as they bid to cement their place at the top of the group.

France beat Georgia 3-0 in their opening qualifier nine months ago and lead the standings with 15 points from six matches, followed by Italy on 13 and Ukraine and Scotland on 12.

Scotland should move above Ukraine, who are not playing, when they make the short flight across the North Atlantic to the Faroes.

Greece will finish the season top of Group C no matter the outcome of Wednesday's results.

They are two points ahead of Turkey, who are not playing, and five clear of Bosnia who dramatically beat the Turks 3-2 with a late goal on Saturday.

FIRST HALF

Most of the teams leading their groups look set to end the first half of the qualifiers in top place, although Northern Ireland will probably be knocked off their perch in Group F.

The Irish, on 13 points from six matches, are without a game and either Sweden, who are at home to Iceland, or Spain, who visit Liechtenstein, can dislodge them.

Sweden have 12 points from five matches after Saturday's game with Denmark in Copenhagen was abandoned a minute from time after the referee was attacked by a drunken Danish fan with the score level at 3-3.

UEFA will decide on Friday on what action to take, but until then their official standings do not include Saturday's result.

Germany, the Group D leaders who beat San Marino 6-0 on Saturday, should also extend their grip with a win over Slovakia in Hamburg which would move them five points clear of the Czech Republic, who do not play again until September.

Poland, who travel to Armenia, are five points clear in Group A with a good chance of qualifying for the finals for the first time. Portugal and Serbia, who trail Poland in second and third places, are without a game.

Romania will be looking to pull away from the Netherlands at the top of Group G when they host Slovenia and Bulgaria could overtake the Dutch, who are not playing, if they beat Belarus.

Croatia, who have never lost a competitive match at home in 32 matches since 1994, host Russia in an intriguing game at the top of Group E.

The Croatians won 1-0 in Estonia on Saturday to stay top of a tight section, two points ahead of Israel and Russia.

England, the other contenders in the group although they are fourth, have 11 points and did not play on Saturday, drawing 1-1 with Brazil in a friendly on Friday in the first senior international at the new Wembley Stadium.

They have to win in Estonia to keep their prospects alive while anything less will almost certainly spell the end of their qualifying hopes and Steve McClaren's reign as manager.

Qualifying for the 2008 European Championship is just past the halfway stage, and most of the leading teams are rising to the top of their groups.

In Wednesday's qualifiers, three-time winner Germany can go five points ahead in Group D, while World Cup winner Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, France and defending champion Greece all are well positioned to finish in the top two spots in their groups and advance.

England is the exception. It is fourth in Group E and likely to stay there even if it wins at Estonia.

With David Beckham playing his first competitive game for England since last year's World Cup, coach Steve McClaren's team is at least three points behind the top three teams.

Leader Croatia, which is unbeaten in 32 competitive games at home, hosts third-place Russia and second-place Israel will be confident of winning at Andorra, which is last after losing all six of its games.

Estonia also has lost all six matches, so if England doesn't win it could end McClaren's 10-month stint as coach. Midfielder Steven Gerrard says it's up to the players to help McClaren keep his job.

"A manager can only do so much," Gerrard said. "We've got to get out there and take the heat off him. We are the so-called best players in England. We're getting picked to go out there and do a job. To be honest, Steve has been good since he took over."

Meanwhile, German coach Joachim Loew wants one more big effort from his players to beat Slovakia in Hamburg at the end of a long season. Germany leads the Czech Republic and Ireland by two points and has played one fewer game.

"We'll need to dig deep into our reserves of energy," Loew said. "We'll have to give 100 percent one more time. Then they can enjoy their vacation."

After starting slowly, World Cup finalists France and Italy have edged ahead of Ukraine and Scotland in Group B.

France plays Georgia at home. Italy, which is two points behind France but a point ahead of Ukraine and Scotland, hopes to make it five victories in a row by winning at Lithuania.

"We're the world champions and our clubs dominate Europe," Italian defender Marco Materazzi said. "We need to go to Kaunas as winners and do what we know how to do."

Greece moved atop Group C by beating Hungary 2-0 on Saturday while Turkey was losing 3-2 at Bosnia-Herzegovina. Greece can go five points ahead of Turkey by beating Moldova at home on Wednesday.

Bosnia hosts Malta and Norway welcomes Hungary, with Bosnia and Norway trying to move into a tie with Turkey in the standings.

Group F has been complicated by referee Herbert Fandel's decision to abandon Saturday's game between Denmark and Sweden. Fandel was attacked by a Danish fan in Copenhagen after sending off Denmark midfielder Christian Poulsen and awarding Sweden a penalty in the 89th minute with the score at 3-3.

UEFA will decide both the result and Denmark's punishment Friday, with the likelihood that Sweden will be awarded a 3-0 victory. Leader Northern Ireland is idle Wednesday, while Sweden hosts Iceland, Spain visits Liechtenstein and Denmark goes to Latvia.

Group A leader Poland will be eight points ahead if it wins at Armenia on Wednesday, because Portugal and Serbia don't have a game. But Poland will have played two more games than both its rivals.

David Beckham played his first competitive game for England since last year's World Cup and led England over Estonia 3-0 Wednesday night in European Championship qualifying.

World Cup champion Italy beat host Lithuania 2-0 and runner-up France defeated Georgia 1-0 on the final day of play for most European national teams before the summer break.

Also, Germany beat Slovakia 2-1 and defending European champion Greece scored in injury time to earn a 2-1 win over visiting Moldova.

At Tallinn, Joe Cole gave England a 37th-minute lead with a spin and volley from the edge of the area before Beckham set up second-half goals for Peter Crouch and Michael Owen with crosses from the right. Beckham had been dropped from the roster after the World Cup by new coach Steve McClaren, then was recalled for last week's exhibition game against Brazil.

"Everyone was making tackles and tactically we were spot on," Cole said. "They knew we were up for the game and we would break them down eventually. Becks was brilliant today. You know what you're going to get from David Beckham."

England (4-1-2), which is home for four of its last five qualifiers, is fourth in Group E with 14 points, three behind Croatia (5-0-2) and Israel (5-1-2). and one behind Russia (4-0-3). The top two nations advance to next year's tournament.

Croatia tied 0-0 with visiting Russia and Israel won 2-0 at Andorra on goals by Toto Tamuz and Roberto Colautti.

Italy won at Kaunas on two goals by Sampdoria forward Fabio Quagliarella, his first for Italy.

"The players have improved and we closed (the season) in style," Azzurri Roberto Donadoni said. "We just needed a little patience and balance, and tonight we showed what type of group we are."

France, the European champion in 1984 and 2000, beat Georgia at Auxerre on a 33rd-minute goal by Samir Nasri, a 19-year-old midfielder who played his third international match and scored off Franck Ribery's deflected cross.

France (6-1) leads Group B with 18 points, followed by Italy (5-1-1) with 16 and Scotland (5-2) with 15. The Scots won 2-0 at the Faeroe Islands on goals by Shaun Maloney and Garry O'Connor.

Three-time European champion Germany traded own-goals with Slovakia before Thomas Hitzlsperger headed in a go-ahead goal in the 43rd minute at Hamburg.

"It was only the second time I scored with a header, but it was an important one," Hitzlsperger said.

Germany (6-0-1) tops Group D with 19 points, followed by the Czech Republic (4-1-2) and Ireland (4-2-1).

Greece conceded an 80th-minute equalizer against visiting Moldova, but substitute Nikos Lymberopoulos made it 2-1 in the fifth minute of injury time. The Greeks (6-1) are first in Group C with 18 points, followed by Turkey (4-1-1), Norway (4-2-1) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (4-2-1) with 13 each.

David Beckham set up two goals with crosses to lead England over Estonia 3-0 Wednesday night in a European Championship qualifier.

In his first competitive match for England since last summer's World Cup, Beckham fed Peter Crouch in the 54th minute and Michael Owen in the 62nd. Joe Cole had put England ahead in the 37th minute when he beat goalkeeper Mart Poom with a spin and volley from the edge of the penalty area.

"It was clear in the first half that they were trying to find Beckham and he was coming in with great crosses," Estonia coach Jelle Goes said. "Two great deliveries -- that's why he's back in the team."

Beckham, who returned to England's national team for last week's exhibition against Brazil, had a free kick in the fifth minute that just missed, then struggled after turning his left ankle early in the match. The 32-year-old midfielder leaves Spain's Real Madrid at the end of the month to join Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy.

England (4-1-2), which is home for four of its last five qualifiers, is fourth in Group E with 14 points, three behind Croatia (5-0-2) and Israel (5-1-2). and one behind Russia (4-0-3). The top two nations advance to next year's tournament.

Owen's goal was his first for England since severely injuring his knee during the World Cup.

John Terry saved a goal when he cleared the ball off the goal line after England goalkeeper Paul Robinson was beaten in injury time.
