There is some news coming out of LA, California right now that Cristiano Ronaldo has undergone a medical in preparation for his move to Real Madrid. If you are wondering, he is in the U.S for two reasons. One is that he is recuperating after a hernia injury he picked up sometime ago, another is that Ronaldo works with Creative Artists Agency, a sports and entertainment mega-management company in SoCal.

Although the club has previously stated that there is no pre-agreement with the player, it is seems there is one which has a very expensive penalty estimated at $50m, and Perez believes he'd buy the player as he'll be paying him money anyway.

He'll cost us $135m breaking Kaka's world-transfer record of $90m. Perez has tried to re-negotiate the deal but Man UTD's David Gill is determined that Ronaldo will only go for the sum he had agreed with Ramon Calderon, Real's ex-president.

Personally, I think it wouldn't hurt to have Ronaldo, but I'm concerned that the team will begin to be flooded with superstars and with no plan in place, we'll fail in using those players effectively. Ronaldo plays in the same position as Robben and Ribery and so If he comes, it will either mean that Robben gets sold or Ribery doesn't come.

Frankly, I'd have Ribery over both Robben and Ronaldo, but when it comes between Ronaldo and Robben, I'd have the funky, weird Portuguese. What I like about him is that he has varied skills. Not only can he assist his teammates, but he can also score from long-range free-kicks. He also has pace and all, but the most attractive skill that he has (according to Valdano) is that he can sell tons of shirts.

For that amount of money, I can't imagine Man UTD not selling him. And If Perez manages to bring him, he'll bring another FIFA Player of the Year to the team.
