به آلمان، دوشنبه (امروز) ژاپن درحالي كه 45 دقيقهي ابتدايي را با پيروزي يك بر صفر به رختكن رفت؛ اما، در پايان از استراليا سه بر يك شكست خورد.

تاكاشي موريموتو، روزنامه نگار ژاپني در گفتوگوي تلفني با خبرنگار ايسناگفت: ژاپن عملكرد بسيار خوبي داشت، ما از نظر تاكتيكي تيم بهتري بوديم اما، استراليا بهتر از ما نتيجه گرفت. به نظر من آن زماني كه يانا گيساوا براي مداوا به بيرون از زمين رفت بسيار حياتي بود. خط دفاع ما نبايد اجازه ميدادكه بازيكنان استراليا به اين راحتي به گل برسند، البته كاوا گوچي دروازهبان ژاپن بسيار عالي بود و بارها ضربههاي مهاجمان استراليايي را مهار كرد. به نظر من او يكي بهترينهاي تيم ملي بود.»

موريموتو ادامه داد: «متاسفانه تا اينجا ژاپن و ايران نتوانستند، نمايندگان خوبي براي آسيا باشند، اميدوارم كرهي جنوبي و عربستان بتوانند در ديدار نخست مرحلهي گروهيشان نتيجه خوبي بگيرند. معتقدم ژاپن از كرواسي هم شكست ميخورد و نميتواند از اين گروه صعود كند.»

كارشناس و روزنامهنگار ژاپني دربارهي واكنش احتمالي رسانههاي كشورش پس از اين شكست گفت: اكنون اظهار نظر كمي زود است؛ اما، يك سايت اينترنتي در پايان بازي ادعا كرد كه بسيار ضعيف بوديم، از تيم ملي انتقاد كرد و پيشبينيكرد كه صعود نخواهيم كرد.»

USA 0-3 Czech Republic


Czech Republic got off to a flying start with a fabulous victory over USA.
Giant striker Jan Koller headed home a Zdenek Grygera cross after five minutes before Tomas Rosicky's 30-yard screamer doubled their half-time advantage.

After Koller went off injured Tomas Ujfalusi headed wide and Rosicky hit the bar, before racing through and chipping over Kasey Keller to seal it.

USA captain Claudio Reyna saw a 25-yard shot cannon back off a post in the first half, but they were well beaten.

It was the first meeting between the two sides since the 1990 World Cup, when the Czechs won 5-1, though they were Czechoslovakia then.

They were always in charge in Gelsen***chen, too, with Juventus playmaker Pavel Nevded dictating the game as he pushed further forward in the absence of injured striker Milan Baros.

With five minutes on the clock Nedved fed in Grygera and the full-back's inch-perfect right-wing cross was clinically headed home by 6ft 7in Koller.

USA enjoyed plenty of possession, but the Czechs - and the brilliant Nedved in particular - always had another gear to move into.

His outrageous outside-of-the-foot cross landed on Grygera's head, but he could only nod over.

The Americans so nearly made them pay moments later, Reyna drilling a 25-yard daisy-cutter that crashed back into play off Petr Cech's right-hand post with the Chelsea stopper beaten.


Koller heads home the opener

Nine minutes before half-time it was game over, Rosicky taking aim 30 yards from goal and rifling a right-foot rocket past Keller.

Czech Republic were denied their perfect half when Koller clutched his hamstring in agony and was stretchered off - an injury that could end his tournament.

But with Vratislav Lokvenc on in his place it was business as usual after half-time and it was nearly 3-0 when Ujfalusi glanced a header wide from a free-kick.

The Czechs were rampant and they had several chances to further underline their superiority.

Nedved exquisitely played in Lokvenc, who could only shoot tamely at Keller, before Jaroslav Plasil crossed for Karel Poborsky to volley over from a tight angle.

Rosicky nearly did it again from distance, this time the Arsenal midfielder letting fly from 25 yards only to see the ball smack against the crossbar.

He eventually wrapped it with up with 14 minutes left, surging on to another majestic Nedved pass and sublimely toe-poking past Keller into the roof of the net.

Italy 2-0 Ghana

Italy got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start with a deserved victory over Ghana in Hanover.
Andrea Pirlo opened the scoring with a rasping long-range drive in the first half and substitute Vincenzo Iaquinta extended the advantage near the end.

World Cup debutants Ghana played their part in an entertaining match and defender Emmanuel Pappoe wasted their best chance before the interval.

But Italy, prompted by the superb Pirlo, were more clinical throughout.

Luca Toni, the winner of last season's Golden Boot after scoring 31 goals for Fiorentina, led the line well for them and could potentially be a star of the tournament.

After 27 minutes he almost scored with a superb piece of individual skill.

The 29-year-old controlled an Alberto Gilardino flick-on before unleashing a venomous volley that thumped the crossbar and bounced down in front of the line.

Ghana, prompted by their confident captain Stephen Appiah, also contributed greatly to the entertainment.

Pappoe wasted a great chance when he blazed over from 14 yards after finding himself unmarked inside the area.

Pirlo punished this profligacy by giving Italy the lead after 40 minutes.

The AC Milan midfielder, who pulls the strings for Italy with his clever movement and perceptive passing, scored from 35 yards out after being picked out by Francesco Totti from a left-sided corner.

Ghana were the better side after the interval as they pushed forward in search of an equaliser.

But Italy, marshalled by captain Fabio Cannavaro in central defence, held firm and threatened on the counter-attack.

Simone Perotta was played in by Daniele Di Rossi after 67 minutes but shot too close to Richard Kingston.

Substitute Iaquinta put the result beyond doubt when he scored seven minutes from the end.

Pirlo was again the instigator, intercepting a pass deep inside his own half before playing the ball forward.

Samuel Kuffour underhit a backpass and Iaquinta capitalised to round the keeper before sliding the ball into an empty net.

Football is a game of two halves; the world cup final is a merciless battle-ground where passive play will be punished brutally, Iran V Mexico on June 11th was a classic example of this.

Mexico seeded fourth in the world were the clear favourites to beat Iran seeded twenty third, the Iranians were pinning their hopes on several quality players they posses including five players who play their football in Germany and Italy.

As discussed in my recent articles Iran had to gamble in their opening world cup match against Mexico and attack from the word go, playing a defensive game against the far more experienced Mexico would be suicidal for Iran.

Iran got off to a good start in the first half and took the game to Mexico, all was going to plan with Iran pinning Mexico back in their half and coming very close to scoring with a Hashemian header, but there were warning signs in there too, Mexico looked deadly when moving forward, they were sharp putting together accurate short and long passes, Iran conceded several free-kicks near their eighteen yard box.

Mexico opened the scoring after 28 th minutes against the run of play, Iranians showed professionalism and continued to play their game, they were rewarded with an equaliser 8 minutes later, ironically the goal came courtesy of two defenders, Rezaei's header from a corner kick was saved by the keeper Sanchez from close range but Golmohammadi made no mistake and took full advantage of the rebound to fire the ball home from a very crowded six yard box, the first half ended 1-1.

Half time talk by the head coach can win or lose a game. Iran had managed to take advantage of their strength in forward players and take the game to Mexico scoring once; Mexico on the other hand had exposed Iran's weakness in defence and scored once. Mexico's defence was well organised and effective; the Mexicans quickly crowded the Iranian forwards time and again stopping the Iranian attack. The first half was used by both teams to test each other.

Mexico started the second half with two substitutions bringing on Perez and the Brazilian born Zinha who scored Mexico's third goal, Iran on the other hand continued with the same players but changed their style of play to a defensive mode, I asked myself whether it was possible that Ivankovic was settling for the one point with 45 minutes to go! My worst fear came true as Iran seemed an entirely different team from the first half; bit by bit the passive defensive game played by Iran put pressure on the players and ate into their composure and confidence. Fonseca came on to replace the injured Borgetti for Mexico in the 52 nd minute, although Mexico had now used all of their subs with some 40 minutes to go they had three fresh pair of legs on the field with a plan to take the game to Iran, La Volpe was going for a win, Ivankovic had miscalculated.

Madanchi replaced a struggling Karimi who doesn't appear to be fully fit after his operation; Borhani replaced Nosrati with nine minutes left but these two substitutions made no impact on the flow of the game even though the latter meant Iran had replaced a defender with a striker. The manner in which Iran conceded their second goal will be of a major concern to the team, Iran was under no pressure when Mirzapour failed to clear a back pass, Mirza's poor clearance resulted in Mexico's counter-attack but there was worse to come, the normally reliable defender Rezaei had the opportunity to clear the danger but he some how squandered the ball, Zinha took full advantage of Rezaei's mistake and passed the ball to Bravo in the 18 yard box, Mirzapour was helpless having just slipped and struggling to regain his balance, Bravo scored his and Mexico's second goal before Zinha who provided the assist for the second goal scored Mexico's third two minutes later to kill off Iran's hopes of taking anything from the match.

There are a number of concerns and questions; the following is three of them;

In the warm-up match against Costa-Rica on March 1 st Iran gave away a 3-0 lead and just managed to win 3-2 thanks to their change of mentality after they had taken a three goal lead, Iran's decision to sit back and defend the lead almost cost them the victory in that match, clearly lessons were not learnt as Iran sat back to defend a 1-1 draw in today's match with severe consequences.
Iran have taken an attacking side to the world cup, this was in clear recognition of their weaknesses in defence, Iran's attacking style of play was tested against Croatia as well as Bosnia recently and proved successful, we saw the same tactic used in the first half of the match against Mexico, why did Ivankovic decide to halt the attack and move into a territory which Iran would be weak (i.e. defence).
In Iran's last two warm-up matches in late May the entire outfield players were used and tested with positive results, why were players such as Enayati and Khatibi not used when Daei was clearly not effective particularly in the second half, why not bring Borhani on at the start of the second half rather than 81 st minute!
What's the way forward with Iran meeting Portugal this coming Saturday June 17 th ;

In a way losing to Mexico has taken the pressure off Iran, it's all or nothing for Iran against Portugal, Iran have nothing to lose now, they must beat Portugal if they are to progress to the next round, a draw or defeat will mean Iran are out of the world cup regardless of what happens in their last match against Angola. Iran must therefore use today's experience and attack Portugal with the aim of taking a two goal lead, Iran must show courage and take the game to Portugal, if Ivankovic goes for a defensive game against Portugal his team will be humiliated.
Iran must not use the same eleven players against Portugal as they did against Mexico, Portugal will have fully analysed Iran's match against Mexico, Ivankovic should consider using a different goalkeeper, Bakhtiarizadeh should be used in half back, Sadeghi in full back, Daei could be benched at the start of the game, Enayati or Borhani would be my first choice to replace him, Kazemian and Madanchi play well as a pair in Persepolis, why not use these two on the opposing midfield flanks with Kia in right back, Iran must not use any player that is not fully fit as there are plenty talented players on the bench, Ivankovic must look for ways to wrong-foot Portugal, using the same players let alone the same tactics as used against Mexico would be suicidal, Iran have now lost the element of surprise which they could have used against Mexico (a missed opportunity).


Iran did themselves no justice in the match against Mexico, the least Iran can do against Portugal is to play to their full potential regardless of the final score. Iran's chances have been dented with injuries to their top players, hopefully Zandi will be available for the Portugal match and Karimi will be fit.

S Korea 2 Togo 1

South Korea were given an almighty scare by Togo on Tuesday before a second-half revival earned them a 2-1 victory to launch their World Cup campaign.

Substitute Ahn Jung-hwan rifled home the winner in the 72nd minute after debutants Togo had been reduced to 10 men in their Group G clash at the Waldstadion.


Togo's preparations for their first World Cup had bordered on a soap opera, with globetrotting coach Otto Pfister quitting on Friday over a squad pay row before making a U-turn on Monday.

Confusion still reigned about who was coaching the African side in the hours leading up to kickoff and the sense of farce continued inside the stadium when the Korean anthem was played twice before Togo's was heard before the start.

Togo's colorful contingent of fans might have feared the worst but instead their team went for the Koreans in lively fashion.

Mohamed Kader Coubadja shot over from a narrow angle after 11 minutes and the French-based forward caused panic in the Korean defense every time he got the ball.

DEADLOCK BROKEN

It was no surprise when he broke the deadlock after 31 minutes. Taking a pass neatly on his thigh, he sped into the right side of the penalty area, steadied himself, then fired a low shot into the corner of the net.

Togo almost went further in front four minutes before halftime when Yao Senaya's curling free kick was tipped over the bar by Lee Woon-jae.

Korea coach Dick Advocaat sent on forward Ahn at the start of the second half, although it was Togo who continued to impress as Coubadja forced another fine save from Lee.

Ahn sliced a shot wildly over the bar after 50 minutes as the Koreans finally began to gather some momentum.

The match swung in South Korea's favor within the space of two minutes, though.

In the 53rd minute Togo skipper Jean-Paul Yaovi Abalo Dosseh was shown a red card for bringing down Park Ji-sung on the edge of the area and from the resulting free kick Lee Chun-soo curled a delightful free kick past Kossi Agassa.

The goal sparked a wave of Korean pressure, with Park at last displaying the dazzling runs that made him so popular at Manchester United last season.

Togo gallantly went for the win despite being a man down, but they were sunk when Ahn picked up a loose ball and advanced to fire an unstoppable shot past Agassa.

Togo's defeat means all four African debutants at the World Cup have lost their opening matches.

کشور برزيل سالها بازيکنان بزرگ به دنيای فوتبال معرفی کرده است: گارينشا، پله، جرزينيو، توستائو، سوکراتس، زيکو، ... و بسياری نام های بزرگ ديگر.

تيم برزيل با رکورد پنج عنوان قهرمانی در هفده دوره گذشته جام جهانی، در حالی به جام هجدهم در آلمان قدم گذاشته که با فاصله زياد از ديگر رقيبان به عنوان شانس اول بلند کردن جام افتخار در آلمان 2006 به شمار می رود.

گذشته از اين، تماشاگران منتظرند که با وجو چهره های برجسته ای چون رونالدو، رونالدينيو و کاکا، تيم برزيل لحظاتی به ياد ماندنی در تاريخ فوتبال خلق کند.

اما پرسش اينجاست که اين همه بازيکنان بزرگ و تيم های قدرتمند، سال از پس سال، چگونه در برزيل پديد می آيند؟


پس از جام جهانی، مردم اروپا به سر کار و زندگی خود بر می گردند، اما اينجا، در برزيل، ما فوتبال را نفس می کشيم؛ هر ساعت از هر روز

داستان موفقيت و چيرگی برزيل در جهان فوتبال از جايگاه منحصر بفرد اين ورزش در زندگی روزمره مردم برزيل آغاز می شود.

کارلوس آلبرتو پريرا، مربی تيم برزيل می گويد: " تيم ملی فوتبال نماد هويت ملی است؛ تنها موردی که تمام جمعيت متحد می شوند."

آلبرتو تورس، کاپيتان تيمی که در جام جهانی 1970 به مقام قهرمانی رسيد اضافه می کند که 'فوتبال در برزيل مثل يک مذهب است.'

او می گويد: "در برزيل مردم همیشه از فوتبال حرف می زنند، نه فقط الان که دوران جام جهانی است. اين فرق اساسی بين اروپا و برزيل است. پس از جام جهانی، مردم اروپا به سر کار و زندگی خود بر می گردند، اما اينجا، در برزيل، ما فوتبال را نفس می کشيم؛ هر ساعت از هر روز."

اين روزنامه نگار در توضيح پديده فوتبال در برزيل می گويد: "[می خواهيد بدانيد] چه عاملی بازيکنان برزيلی را به اين سطح بالا می رساند؟ نياز. فوتبال تنها زندگی قابل تصوری است که در برابر خود می بينند. نيروی محرک شان همين است."

روش منحصر بفرد پيشرفت

در برزيل کودکان فوتبال را به روش بسيار متفاوتی با همسالان اروپايی خود ياد می گيرند. هيچ ليگ يا مسابقه رسمی برای کودکان وجود ندارد، چرا که فشار رقابت به عنوان سدی احتمالی در برابر قوه خلاقه بازيکن خردسال ديده می شود.

لئوناردو، بازيکن اسبق تيم ملی برزيل می گويد: "ما به بچه های هشت ساله نمی گوييم بايد در پست دفاع چپ بازی کنند."

France 0-0 Switzerland

France got their World Cup campaign off to a disappointing start with an uninspiring draw against Switzerland.
Both teams found it hard to move up a gear in the stifling conditions and lacked any real creative spark.

Switzerland came closest to scoring, with Alexander Frei fluffing an easy chance and Fabien Barthez brilliantly denying substitute Daniel Gygax.

Thierry Henry was denied a penalty when his shot was handled by Patrick Mueller but the referee waved his claims away.

Brazil 1-0 Croatia

Brazil beat Croatia to set a World Cup record becoming the first team to win eight successive matches in the finals.
Croatia's tactics frustrated Brazil for much of the match, but just before the interval Kaka's wonderful curling left-footed shot beat Stipe Pletikosa.

Pletikosa's opposite number Dida frequently came to Brazil's rescue, notably with second-half saves from Dado Prso and Ivan Klasnic.

Brazil finished strongly, with Kaka again going close with a rasping shot.

Brazil might be favourites to claim the "Hexa" - a sixth World Cup - but the way Croatia made Carlos Alberto Parreira's side work for this win suggests the world champions are not without their weaknesses.

Strikers Ronaldo and Adriano looked subdued throughout and it took 55 minutes for the much criticised Real Madrid striker to have a shot at goal.

The unhappy Ronaldo was eventually replaced by Robinho, whose introduction served to bring greater attacking fluidity to the Brazilian side.

But the fact that Dida was one of Brazil's best performers gives an indication of just how well Croatia played.

Prso's strong running troubled the Brazilian defence and early in the second half the Rangers striker powerfully shrugged off Lucio before testing Dida with a low shot.

Soon after making that save Dida's positioning allowed him to safely gather a Marko Babic shot.

While Prso provided an attacking outlet for Croatia, the Balkan side's defence managed to stymie Brazil for long periods.

Pletikosa, who was making his 50th appearance for Croatia, had a quiet introduction to the game, but on 15 minutes the Croatian goalkeeper came under intense pressure.

He athletically tipped over the bar Roberto Carlos's shot and then pushed away a Ronaldinho effort that came to Pletikosa through a packed penalty area.

Just after the hour Pletikosa made the best save of the game when he pushed away a poweful Ronaldinho header.

Not that Croatia were ever content to solely soak up Brazil's attacks.

Prso frequently drifted out to the left and looked impressive with some strong running, while Ivan Klasnic and Niko Kranjcar had speculative shots.

Those two efforts did not trouble Dida, but seven minutes before the break the Brazilian keeper had a real scare when Igor Tudor came desperately close to reaching Darijo Srna's dangerous inswinging free-kick from the left.

Having subdued Brazil for 44 minutes, Croatia fell behind to a wonderfully constructed and taken goal.

Midfielder Emerson started the move, surging into the Croatia half before feeding the ball to Cafu.

The Brazilian right-back slipped the ball inside to Kaka, who after switching the ball quickly to his left foot, beat Pletikosa with an unstoppable shot.

It was a superb goal which hinted at the power and skill of the Brazilians.

مجيد جلالی تاکيد کرد: همانطور که قبلا هم گفته بودم علی دايی در ديدار برابر مکزيک هيچ کارايی نداشت چرا که کندی او در مقابل سرعت مکزيکی ها کاملا قابل پيش بينی بود.
جلالی که با حضور در ورزشگاه فرانکن اشتاديون شهر نورنبرگ ديدار تيم ملی کشورمان برابر مکزيک را از نزديک تماشا کرد در گفت و گوی اختصاصی با خبرنگار اعزامی " مهر" به آلمان ضمن بيان اين مطلب افزود: از ماهها پيش اعلام کردم به دليل اينکه علی دايی بازيکنی با سن بالا و عکس العمل های کند است عملا نمی تواند در مقابل سرعت مکزيکی ها برای تيم ملی مفيد باشد اما متاسفانه کسی به اين مسئله مهم توجهی نداشت.

مجيد جلالی در مورد عملکرد کلی تيم ملی در اولين بازی جام جهانی گفت: ما در اين بازی برنامه خاص و مشخصی نداشتيم اما بايد به اين نکته مثبت هم اشاره کنيم که در نيمه اول ۴۵ دقيقه رويايی را پشت سرگذاشتيم که در تمام دوره هايی که در جام جهانی شرکت کرده ايم اينگونه عمل نکرده ايم.
