Cannavaro, chosen player of the year by the readers of the magazine ' World Soccer'


The defense of Real Madrid Fabio Cannavaro, champion of the World with Italy, has been designated like the best player of the year by the readers of the magazine ' World Soccer'. Cannavaro, designated ' Ball of Prayed by the magazine ' France Football' adds east award to the rest of recognitions that has obtained.

به گزارش خبرگزاري اسوشيتدپرس از لندن، مدافع تيم رئال مادريد اسپانيا سه هفته پيش نيز از سوي مجله فرانس فوتبال به عنوان بهترين بازيكن سال اروپا انتخاب شد و جايزه توپ طلايي را دريافت كرد.

كاناوارو جمعه شب با كسب ۴۰درصد آراي خوانندگان مجله فرانس فوتبال با پيشي گرفتن از "ساموئل اتوئو" از بارسلونا و "تيه*ري هانري" از آرسنال موفق به كسب اين جايزه شد.

بر اساس اين نظرسنجي "رونالدينيو" بهترين بازيكن سال گذشته جهان، در مكان چهارم قرار گرفت.

كاناوارو پس از انتخاب "پائولو مالديني" در سال ،۱۹۹۴دومين مدافعي است كه در تاريخ ۲۵ساله اهداي اين جايزه، اين عنوان را به خود اختصاص مي*دهد.

اين در حاليست كه باشگاه سابق او يعني يوونتوس فصل گذشته به دليل شركت در تباني و تقلب در مسابقات سري آ، به سري ب ايتاليا سقوط كرد.

بنابر اين گزارش، احتمال دارد با اعلام بهترين بازيكن سال جهان از سوي فدراسيون بين*المللي فوتبال (فيفا) در روز دوشنبه، با انتخاب مجدد كاناوارو، وي عناوين خود در سال جاري را به عدد سه برساند.

بر اساس نظرسنجي مجله فرانس فوتبال "مارچلو ليپي" سرمربي تيم ملي ايتاليا در جام جهاني ۲۰۰۶نيز جايزه بهترين مربي سال فوتبال را دريافت كرد.

همچنين تيم فوتبال بارسلونا هم كه به قهرماني در باشگاه*هاي اروپا و دومين عنوان قهرماني خود در ليگ اسپانيا رسيد، جايزه بهترين تيم سال را از آن خود ساخت.

"ليونل مسي" بازيكن آرژانتيني بارسلونا نيز به عنوان بهترين بازيكن جوان جهان انتخاب شد.

فابيو کاناوارو، مدافع تيم ملی ايتاليا، از سوی مجله ورلد ساکر به عنوان بهترين بازيکن سال جهان انتخاب شد. کاناوارو در جام جهانی ۲۰۰۶ آلمان کاپيتان تيم ملی ايتاليا بود و با اين تيم به قهرمانی اين جام رسيد.

کاناوارو دومين مدافعی است که در تاريخ ۲۵ ساله اين جايزه به اين عنوان می* رسد. پيش از کاناوارو، تنها پائولو مالدينی هموطن او در سال ۱۹۹۴ اين عنوان را کسب کرده بود.

اين مجله انگليسی بهترين بازيکن سال جهان را از طريق رای گيری از خوانندگانش انتخاب می کند. کاناوارو يکی از بيشترين آرا را در تاريخ اين نظرسنجی بدست آورد. او موفق شد آرای ۴۰ درصد خوانندگان ورلد ساکر را جلب کند. کاناوارو سه برابر نفر دوم رای آورده است.

بعد از او ساموئل اتوئو مهاجم کامرونی باشگاه بارسلونا و تيری آنری مهاجم فرانسوی باشگاه آرسنال در مقامهای دوم و سوم قرار گرفتند.

Winner of the 2006 FIFA World Player of the Year Award

It's what everyone expected and there were no surprises as Joseph Blatter announced the name of Fabio Cannavaro as the winner of the 2006 FIFA World Player of the Year. The moved Italian centre back thanked the national team coaches and captains by saying, "I would like to express my gratitude to FIFA, the coaches, the captains, and all my teammates that I have ever had."





On Monday at 8 pm CET, the Zurich Opera House hosted the 2006 FIFA World Player of the Year gala, which culminated with the announcement of the World Player of the Year selected by national team coaches and captains. The magical evening dubbed "Football meets Mozart" was hosted by Dutch football legend Ruud Gullit and television presenter Amanda McLane-Attali, and was punctuated with snippets from Mozart's operas and video clips of the exploits of each nominee.
The first trophies and awards presented were those won during the 2006 German World Cup. To kick things off, the Fair Play Trophy was presented to the Spanish and Brazilian national teams, who shared the same number of points. It was followed by the Golden (Klose), Silver (Hernán Crespo) and Bronze (Ronaldo) Boot awards, and then the Golden Ball (Zidane), Silver Ball (Cannavaro), and Bronze Ball (Pirlo). Italy's Buffon was honoured as the Best Goalkeeper but was unable to attend the event.



The icing on the cake
After delighting those in attendence with a new Mozart piece, the two most magical moments of the night arrived. First came the announcement of the 2006 FIFA Woman World Player, bestowed upon the Brazilian, Marta, who received a warm round of applause from fellow countryman Ronaldo. Minutes later it was Fabio Cannavaro, Ronaldinho and Zidane's turn to find out who would be named FIFA World Player 2006. Edgar Davids, Frank Beckenbauer, and Lothar Mattaüs assisted Joseph Blatter with the announcement. What everyone had predicted since Sunday was true, as the FIFA President read the Italian player's name as the big winner of the night.

“It's a huge honour to be here among so many renown players. This has been a very important year for me and I am very happy and touched. It was an incredible year. I won the championship with Juve, the World Cup, the Golden Ball, and this great distinction brings a golden year to a close. I would like to express my gratitude to FIFA, the coaches, the captains, and all my teammates that I have ever had. I dedicate this award to Italian football, as everyone knows about the problems it has gone through. This should be a symbol of rebirth for an important system of international football,” stated Cannavaro.



Club support
President Ramón Calderón and Real Madrid's Sporting Director Pedja Mijatovic accompanied Cannavaro, Raúl and Ronaldo on their travels to Zurich to attend the gala celebrated at the Opera House. As was the case during the presentation of the Golden Ball last month, the Madridista President wanted Cannavaro to feel support from Real Madrid during such an important moment of his football career.

The President shared the evening with his Barcelona counterpart, Joan Laporta, who saw his hopes for Ronaldinho winning the trophy for the third straight year dashed.

Italy's World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro was named Best Player at the Italian Football Oscars on Monday.

The award, based on the votes of members of the Italian Footballers Association, was one of three Cannavaro won at the ceremony in Milan after also coming out top in the Best Italian Player and Best Defender categories.

The Oscar made it three trophies in three months for the 33-year-old Real Madrid player, who won the European Footballer of the Year award in November and the following month became the first defender to be voted FIFA's World Player of the Year.

Three of Cannavaro's Italy team mates also received awards on Monday.

Juventus's Gianluigi Buffon was named Best Goalkeeper, AS Roma's 23-year-old midfielder Daniele De Rossi got Best Young Player, and Luca Toni received the Top Scorer award for his tally of 31 league goals for Fiorentina last season.

In the other categories, AC Milan playmaker Kaka shared the Best Foreign Player award with Cagliari striker David Suazo, while Luciano Spalletti was recognised for turning Roma into Serie A challengers again when he was voted Best Coach.
