مقام*هاي عراقي نسبت به بروز حوادث احتمالي بر اثر تيراندازي هوايي هشدار داده*اند.

هفته گذشته در جريان تيراندازي*هاي مشابه به مناسبت پيروزي تيم ملي فوتبال عراق در بازي يك چهارم نهايي برابر تيم ويتنام، دستكم سه عراقي كشته شدند.

ديدار دو تيم عراق و كره جنوبي در مرحله نيمه نهايي رقابت*هاي فوق عصر امروز چهارشنبه در ورزشگاه "بوكيت جليل" شهر كوالالامپور مالزي برگزار شد كه تيم عراق با نتيجه ۴بر ۳در ضربات پنالتي به پيروزي رسيد.

تيم ملي فوتبال عراق روز هفتم مرداد در فينال اين مسابقات با برنده ديدار تيم*هاي عربستان و ژاپن روبه*رو خواهد شد.

Iraq moved into its first Asian Cup final, beating South Korea 4-3 on penalty kicks Wednesday night after a 0-0 tie. At least 50 fans were killed by car bombs during postgame celebrations in Baghdad.

Iraq advanced to Sunday's final in Jakarta against Saudi Arabia, which beat two-time defending champion Japan 3-2 in Hanoi. The winner of the tournament joins the United States, Brazil, Italy and host South Africa at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup along with the champions of Europe, Africa and Oceania.

Thousands of fans gathered in the central Baghdad district of Karradah to celebrate Iraq's victory by dancing, beating drums and chanting "Iraq! Iraq! The first bomb exploded in a crowd of people cheering near a well-known ice cream parlor in Baghdad's western neighborhood of Mansour, according to police and hospital officials. At least 30 people were killed and 75 were wounded, an Interior Ministry official said.

Another suicide car bomber detonated his payload about 45 minutes later in the midst of dozens of vehicles filled with revelers near an Iraqi army checkpoint in the eastern district of Ghadeer, killing at least 20 people, including two soldiers, and wounding 61, according to the ministry official.

All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release information. Police reports said three people also were killed and 17 wounded by celebratory gunfire.

The second attack occurred as Iraqis of all ages were packed on top of cars, pickups and minibuses, waving Iraqi flags and shirts, while others danced in the streets near the checkpoint. Men put towels over their heads or sprayed cars with water for relief in the hot summer weather.

Five people were killed in the celebratory gunfire that followed Iraq's win over Vietnam in a quarterfinal match played in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday.

At the Iraq game, the teams played 120 scoreless minutes and penalty kicks were tied 3-3 when Iraq goalkeeper Noor Sabri tipped Yeom Ki-hun's left-footed shot around a post. Ahmed Menajed put Iraq ahead 4-3 and Kim Jung-woo -- needed to convert to keep the game alive -- hit the right post.

"You know the situation of the difficulties in Iraq," Sabri said. "What we can achieve inside the field, it's a modest thing we can give to our people. We have to show them we are sharing with them the celebrations."

Saudi Arabia, which won the tournament in 1984, 1988 and 1996, won as Malek Maaz scored in the 47th and 57th minutes following an opening goal from Yasser Al Qahtani in the 35th.

Japan, unbeaten in 16 consecutive Asian Cup games since the 1996 quarterfinals, got goals from Yuji Nakazawa in the 27th and Yuki Abe in the 53rd.

Japanese media on Thursday blamed fatigue for the national team's 2-3 loss to Saudi Arabia who ended Japan's bid for a third straight Asian Cup victory.

"Japan's dream of Victory Three shattered," ran a headline in the best-selling Yomiuri Shimbun, which ran photos of a dejected team and coach Ivica Osim.

"One of the team's strengths is their mental concentration in a big game, but Japan were short of it," it said.


Some pundits repeated criticism that the Japanese are not aggressive enough compared with rival football nations.

"If you see a goal in sight, you need to go for a shot more aggressively," Shu Kamo, former coach of the national team, said in the Sports Nippon newspaper.

The Asahi Shimbun said that Japan's squad, featuring stars such as Celtic's Shunsuke Nakamura and Eintracht Frankfurt's Naohiro Takahara, made mistakes that used to be "unthinkable" for them.

"They were their own enemy,"the Asahi wrote.

"Having emerged from the Australia match, there was no sense of intensity."

The defending champions had qualified for semi-finals on penalties in Saturday's gruelling match with Asian newcomers Australia.

"It is hard to imagine that Japan would have given up three goals if they were in the same form as they were until the quarter-final," the Asahi said.

In one upside, Japanese broadcasters now have a clear choice for coverage Sunday.

The final -- between Saudi Arabia and Iraq -- was scheduled just as results are due in from Japan's national elections. One network had already said it would choose football over the election if Japan were playing.

Japan's players were left to pick up the pieces on Thursday after their devastating defeat by Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup semi-finals.

Their bid for a third straight title came to a shuddering halt in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to a Saudi side who had never beaten the Japanese in the continent's premier competition.

"I don't think it was a jinx," Japan playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura told Reuters. "The Saudis had a new coach and several new players. It's not a major shock -- it can happen."

Japan must now try to regroup for Saturday's third-place playoff with fierce rivals South Korea in far-flung Palembang on Indonesia's Sumatra island.

"We just came up short," said Celtic's Nakamura. "Saudi Arabia were defending with eight players and left two up front all game. We got sucked into their tactics."

Saudi Arabia will be bidding to become the first team to win the Asian Cup four times when they take on Iraq in Sunday's final in Jakarta.

Japan, meanwhile, were left to rue a lack of ambition after being ripped apart by two quick-fire goals from Malek Maaz in the second half of their semi-final in Hanoi.

"They were there for the taking," shrugged Eintracht Frankfurt striker Naohiro Takahara, who had scored four goals in four games but was largely anonymous against the Saudis.

"We just couldn't finish. Their third goal came quickly after we'd scored our second -- that killed us."

Japan were favourites to become the first team to win three successive Asian Cups since Iran completed a hat-trick of titles in 1976 after knocking out Australia in the quarter-finals.

But after exorcising the demons of their 3-1 defeat by the Socceroos at last year's World Cup in Germany, Japan played their worst game of the tournament against Saudi Arabia.

Japan Football Association president Saburo Kawabuchi acknowledged the holders had lacked a cutting edge but refused to point fingers.

"When you get to the last four games you are on a knife's edge," he said. "The Saudis just had more imagination. We need a striker like their number nine (Maaz)."

Japan coach Ivica Osim accused his team of "going soft" against a Saudi side still exhausted after a horror 12-hour trip from Indonesia to Vietnam.

The Bosnian refused to name and shame players but still let rip in a thinly veiled dig at Takahara and midfielder Yasuhito Endo.

"Certain key players simply didn't do enough," growled the 66-year-old. "If you watched the game you'll know who I'm talking about. We still have an awful lot to improve on."

Iraq's beleaguered soccer team are pinning their hopes on a fairytale ending to their Asian Cup story after logistical blunders and slapdash preparations plunged their campaign into disarray even before a ball had been kicked.

Against all odds, the unfancied Iraqis beat twice-champions South Korea 4-3 in a dramatic penalty shootout on Wednesday to reach their first Asian Cup final, bringing some rare cheer to the war-scarred Iraqi people.

The team's Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira, who has worked with 26 clubs and five national teams, says his short-term job with Iraq has been the toughest of his career.

"Everything has gone wrong -- hotels, food, equipment, players, training, logistics. You cannot imagine what we have been through," Vieira told Reuters in a telephone interview on Thursday.

"Because of this, no one expected us to be where we are. What we have done has totally shocked people."

Vieira had only two months to prepare the squad in the safety of neighbouring Jordan, but when stubborn Baghdad clubs refused to release players, his first training sessions were attended by only six people.

FOREIGN INTRUDER

On the eve of national team games, players would pull out of the squad to return to their club sides, Vieira said, and he was far from popular with local coaches, who saw him as a foreign intruder on their turf.

Some of his players have been exposed to the grim reality of life in Iraq and are tormented by death threats and kidnappings and the loss of loved ones to car bombings and brutal murders.

The 54-year-old also inherited a squad split by sectarian infighting between Shi'tes and minority Sunni Arabs.

"I had problems with the group, there was no kind of unity, the relationship between the players was bad," he said. "I had to find a solution to this, and got them to like each other and not bring their personal or political differences here.

"We could not have them at war with each other," he added.

Iraq's 1-1 draw with hosts Thailand in the opening match of the Asian Cup came somewhat as a miracle given their haphazard run-up to the competition.

They arrived in Bangkok with old kit and without training equipment, and were joined on the eve of their first match by two jetlagged, match-weary players, who were detained for eight hours by Thai immigration officials after more than a day of traveling.

MIDDLE-EASTERN TAKEAWAYS

Bangkok's notorious traffic snarl-ups disrupted training sessions, which often took place late at night in the pouring rain, and their unfamiliarity with the fiery Thai cuisine saw them order Middle-Eastern takeaways every night or dine in the city's predominantly Arab districts.

After beating Vietnam in the quarter-finals, Iraq arrived in Kuala Lumpur to find only seven rooms were available for their 30 players, who spent much of the day waiting in the hotel lobby.

To make matters worse, they discovered their rooms were being occupied by the Iranian national team, who had already been knocked out of the tournament.

Vieira is hoping Iraq's nightmare story will have a happy ending, though, when they meet thee-times winners Saudi Arabia in Sunday's all-Middle East final in Jakarta.

"This has all made us closer as a team and stronger as players and as men," Vieira said. "The players have problems in their lives, they are not normal footballers.

"We are all chasing this victory, it would be something very very special for the players and the people."

The Iraqi team are on an emotional rollercoaster after reaching their first Asian Cup final as it took a bloody toll back home where at least 50 celebrating fans were killed.

Iraq shocked the more fancied South Korea 4-3 in a penalty shootout after it was scoreless after extra time on Wednesday to put them on the brink of their greatest footballing achievement.

They had only got as far as the semi-finals in 1976 and lost in their last three consecutive quarter-finals at the Asian Cup, but now travel to Jakarta for an all-Arab final with Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

"Everyone is happy and we have reason to be happy because this victory brings us to the final and we deserved that," said Iraq's Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira, who has been in charge for less than two months.

"My boys have worked very hard."

An emotional Vieira said the victory was for "the people of Iraq because they deserve it".

Thousands of Iraqis wearing team jerseys and waving national flags poured on to the streets of Baghdad cheering and firing assault rifles wildly into the air after the match to celebrate a rare moment of shared joy.

But the jubilation didn't last long.

Two massive car bombs were detonated in the Iraqi capital by insurgents, killing at least 50 people and wounding 90.

Goalkeeper Noor Sabri was Iraq's hero, making a crucial save in the penalty shootout to steer his side into the final, and he dedicated his team's fighting spirit to his beleaguered compatriots in his war-ravaged homeland.

Noor illustrated the grim personal cost his teammates have endured to play at the Asian Cup and how they are doing their bit in lifting spirits for those suffering in the Iraq civil conflict.

"Four days before we came to Bangkok my wife's brother died and my teammate Hawar Mohammed lost his step-mother," he said.

"We know we are struggling inside Iraq and we are struggling on the playing field because it is a very modest thing we can give to our people.

"We have to struggle, we have to show them that we are sharing all what we are achieving here. But this is historic for football in our country."

It is testament to the players that they have got so far in the tournament with so little preparation amid the chaos in their homeland.

Vieira, who before the tournament said every person in the Iraqi team had lost family or friends in the ongoing conflict, had scant time to work with his players.

But he is well versed in Arab football with stints over 20 years in Morocco, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia, and has managed to mould a skillful and unified team.

"We missed more opportunities than Korea, especially in the second half and in extra time," he said.

"The Koreans were down on fitness. We were tired too but we were better on the fitness side and its a game that will never be forgotten, especially by us."

Iraqi players dream of playing in Europe and the big salaries of the continent's club professionals, away from the perils of their war-torn country where their talents go unrewarded, and their run to the final could open doors.

Reports have already linked Nashat Akram with English Premier League side Sunderland.

شايعه*اي جالب روز گذشته در پايتخت اندونزي پيچيد. اتحاديه فوتبال كره*جنوبي به ويرا پيشنهاد داده است اگر كره نتواند در بازي رده*بندي ژاپن حريف ديرينه*اش را شكست دهد، بي*ترديد پيم فربيك سرمربي كره اخراج مي*شود. يكي از گزينه*هاي جانشيني او ويراست.

به گزارش خبرگزاري دانشجويان ايران (ايسنا)، در ديدار رده بندي چهاردهمين دوره*ي رقابت*هاي جام ملت*هاي فوتبال آسيا عصر امروز (شنبه)، تيم*هاي كره جنوبي و ژاپن به ديدار هم رفتند كه تيم كره موفق شد در ضربات پنالتي با نتيجه 6 بر 5 از سد حريف خود گذشته و بر سكوي سوم بايستد.

در اين ديدار كه در 120 دقيقه به تساوي انجاميد، ضربات پنالتي تكليف تيم پيروز را مشخص كرد. دو تيم پس از به ثمر رساندن 5 ضربات پنالتي خود كار به ضربات تك به تك رسيد كه "لي وون جائه" دروازه*بان كره جنوبي ششمين ضربه پنالتي ژاپني ها را مهار كرد و كره را به عنوان سومي جام ملتهاي 2007 رساند.

براساس تصميم كنفدراسيون فوتبال آسيا تيم هاي اول تا سوم جام ملت*هاي 2007 به طور مستقيم به رقابت*هاي 2011 راه خواهند يافت.

به گزارش خبرگزاري دانشجويان ايران (ايسنا)، عراق موفق شد براي نخستين بار در تاريخ فوتبال اين كشور، در چهاردهمين دوره*ي جام ملت*هاي آسيا با برتري يك بر صفر مقابل عربستان به مقام قهرماني دست پيدا كند.


اين ديدار كه در شهر جاكارتا اندونزي و به قضاوت مارك شيلد استراليايي برگزار شد، در نيمه*ي نخست دو تيم بازي برابري را به نمايش گذاشتند. ابتدا تيم عربستان كه دقايق آغازين را با انگيزه*ي بيشتري آغاز كرده بود، صاحب فرصت*هايي شد اما، در ادامه*ي بازي، بازيكنان عراقي با در اختيار گرفتن توپ و ميدان توانستند فرصت*هايي را بر روي دروازه*ي عربستان ايجاد كنند. با اين حال نيمه*ي نخست با نتيجه*ي تساوي بدون گل پايان يافت.


در نيمه*ي دوم، تيم عراق توانست با بازي هوشمندانه، خود را به دروازه*ي عربستان نزديك كند. شاگردان ويراي برزيلي كه فوتبال را از مربي خود به خوبي ياد گرفته بودند، توانستند مردان جوان عربستان را مقهور قدرت و انسجام تيمي خود كنند.

سران تيم ملي عراق گفتند كه شيخ محمد بن رشيد آل مكتوم نخست وزير و فرماندار دوبي مي*خواست نخستين فردي باشد كه در راه بازگشت به خاورميانه به آنها خوش*آمد مي*گويد.

اين در حالي است كه بازيكنان در سالن ترانزيت فرودگاه بانكوك منتظر پرواز به امان بودند. اما، به آنها گفته شد كه ميهمانان ويژه اميران دوبي خواهند بود.

بر اساس اعلام مجله*ي Forbes شيخ محمد نزديك به چهارده ميليارد دلار دارايي دارد.

جعفر در اين باره به رويترز گفت:« نمايندگان نخست وزير، رييس جمهور و سخنگوي شوراي نمايندگان آنها را در فرودگاه ملاقات خواهند كرد. ما اكنون در حال بررسي شرايط امنيتي هستيم تا آنها را سالم در كشور ببينيم. آنها مي*توانند از مراسمي كه برايشان در نظر گرفته*ايم لذت ببرند.»

پس از پيروزي عراق در ديدار نيمه نهايي جام ملت*ها برابر كره*ي جنوبي پنجاه هوادار عراقي در يك حمله تروريستي كشته شدند.

اكنون بازيكنان عراق به هدف*هاي خوبي براي تروريست*ها تبديل شده*اند.

يونس محمود در اين باره گفته بود:« از اين قهرماني بسيار خوشحالم و آرزو دارم كه به عراق بازگردم و اين لحظه را با مردم كشورم سهيم شوم. هدف ما قهرماني در جام ملت*ها بود و به آن رسيديم. اما، حالا مشكل ما اين است كه كجا اين قهرماني را جشن بگيريم!»

حوار ملا محمد ديگر ستاره*ي عراق در جام ملت*ها هم گفت:« ما آرزو داريم كه به كشورمان بازگرديم و مانند ساير قهرمانان روي اتوبوس*هاي سرباز در خيابان*ها حركت كنيم. اما ما تنها براي خودمان نمي*ترسيم. نگران جان بسياري از عراقي*هايي هستيم كه ممكن است هدف تروريست*ها شوند.»

علي الدباغ سخنگوي دولت عراق گفت:« بازيكنان نبايد نگران جان*شان باشند چرا كه در بغداد جاهاي امن زيادي وجود دارد.»

The ruler of Dubai has awarded 5.5 million dollars to Iraq's national football team for its victory in the Asian Cup final, a football official said on Tuesday.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum gave the money to the Iraqi team for their 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia in Jakarta on Sunday, the head of Dubai's Al Ahli soccer club said.

Members of the victorious Iraqi team were invited to a celebration organised by Sheikh Mohammed at Al Ahli's pitch.


Sheikh Mohammed, who is better known for his huge thoroughbred racehorse empire including the Godolphin Operation, said the victorious team showed "the ability of the Iraqi people...to deal with hardship and presented an example of how to give for the sake of the nation."

The wealthy Gulf Arab emirate of Dubai is one of seven that makes up the United Arab Emirates.

عراق با پيروزي يك بر صفر برابر عربستان سعودي در فينال جام ملتهاي آسيا و كسب عنوان قهرماني اين مسابقات، به دوران "چهار قدرت" بزرگ فوتبال آسيا پايان داد.

به*گزارش پايگاه اينترنتي فدراسيون بين*المللي فوتبال (فيفا)، از زمان آغاز مسابقات جام ملتهاي آسيا در سال ۱۹۵۶تاكنون همواره چهار تيم ايران ، كره جنوبي، عربستان سعودي و ژاپن به غير از دو دوره كه كويت و رژيم صهيونيستي قهرمان شدند ، موفق به كسب عنوان قهرماني اين جام شده بودند.

اما در چهاردهمين دوره اين مسابقات عراق با تك گل "يونس محمود" برابر عربستان موفق شد اين جام را به كشور ديگري از اين قاره پهناور ببرد.

محمود مهاجم تيم الغرافه كه سه سال پيش نيز گل پيروزي دو بر يك عراق برابر عربستان سعودي را در دور مقدماتي به ثمر رسانده بود توانست يك بار ديگر با گل خود، عربستان را شكست دهد.

اين در حالي است كه هيچكس تصور نمي*كرد عراق به قهرماني اين بازي ها نائل شود. تيم ملي فوتبال عراق در گروه يك اين بازي*ها، مسابقه نخست خود را با گل محمود و با تساوي يك بر يك برابر تايلند يكي از ميزبانان اين مسابقات به پايان برد.

عراق موفق شد در دومين بازي خود، استراليا را با نتيجه سه بر يك در هم بكوبد و با تساوي بدون گل برابر عمان بعنوان تيم نخست گروه اول به دور يك چهارم نهايي اين بازي*ها صعود كند.

پيش از آنكه عراق كره جنوبي را در نيمه نهايي و در ضربات پنالتي از دور مسابقات حذف كند، يونس محمود هر دو گل برتري عراق برابر ويتنام را به ثمر رساند.

در حالي كه كشور اشغال شده عراق هر روز شاهد درگيري*هاي خونين است اين قهرماني، ارزشمندترين رويداد براي عراقي*ها به شمار مي*آيد.

در انفجار خودروي بمب*گذاري شده در مراسم جشن پيروزي تيم ملي فوتبال عراق برابر كره جنوبي، دستكم ۵۰تن در اين كشور جنگ زده كشته شدند.

"ژوروان ويه*را" سرمربي برزيلي تيم فوتبال عراق از تمامي بازيكنانش به خاطر اين پيروزي قدرداني كرد.

وي گفت: بازيكنان تيم ملي عراق خارق*العاده هستند و بايد دشواري*هاي اين راه را درك كرد.

محمود كه به عنوان بهترين بازيكنان اين مسابقات شناخته شد ، جام قهرماني را از دست "محمد بن همام" رييس كنفدراسيون فوتبال آسيا و "ژوزف بلاتر" رييس فيفا دريافت كرد.

عراق با قهرماني درجام ملتهاي آسيابه*مسابقات فوتبال جام كنفدراسيون*هاي فيفا ۲۰۰۹در آفريقاي جنوبي راه يافت.

پس از عراق كه به قهرماني جام ملتهاي آسيا دست يافت تيم عربستان سعودي دوم و كره جنوبي نيز به مقام سوم دست يافتند.

جشن قهرماني تيم ملي فوتبال عراق با حضور "شيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم" نخست وزير امارات عربي متحده و حاكم دبي امروز سه*شنبه در باشگاه الاهلي اين شهر برگزار خواهد شد.

تيم ملي فوتبال عراق قهرمان جام ملتهاي آسيا ۲۰۰۷در ديدار پاياني اين مسابقات تيم ملي عربستان سعودي را با نتيجه يك بر صفر شكست داد.

بازيكنان و همراهان تيم ملي فوتبال عراق امروز از جاكارتاي - اندونزي وارد شهر دبي خواهند شد.

رييس فدراسيون بين*المللي فوتبال (فيفا) روز سه*شنبه از تيم ملي فوتبال عراق، قهرمان مسابقات جام ملت*هاي آسيا تقدير كرد.

به*گزارش خبرگزاري فرانسه از زوريخ،"سپ بلاتر"در ادامه از اين تيم به عنوان سمبلي بر يك "فوتبال واحد" ياد كرد.

وي گفت:واقعا خارق*العاده و استثنايي بود. بيشتر بازيكنان اين تيم در كشوري بازي مي*كنند كه درگير جنگ است.تيم ملي فوتبال عراق مجبورشد مسابقات مقدماتي را در خارج از كشورش برگزار كند.شرايط بسيار سختي براي آنها بود.

بلاتر در جريان ارايه پيشنهاد برزيل براي ميزباني جام جهاني ۲۰۱۴در زوريخ اظهارداشت:تيم ملي عراق شايسته قهرماني بود.اين موفقيت براي فوتبال و كشور آنها خوب است. اميدوارم اين امر تاثير مثبتي روي ملت عراق داشته باشد.

رييس فيفا افزود:تيم ملي فوتبال عراق شامل بازيكناني ازفرقه*هاي مختلف از جمله سني، شيعه،كرد و غيره است. فوتبال مي*تواند باعث اتحاد شود. اين نشان مي*دهد كه چگونه فوتبال همه را با هم متحد مي*كند.

تيم ملي فوتبال عراق روز يكشنبه در جاكارتا پس از پيروزي يك بر صفر مقابل عربستان به عنوان قهرماني در چهاردهمين دوره مسابقات جام ملت*هاي آسيا دست يافت.

اين قهرماني، شادي زايد الوصف مردم عراق و موج تيراندازي*ها را در بغداد در پي داشت.
