Director general for planning of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization said that Iran will play host to 2nd meeting of World Tourism Organization (WTO) Committee on Tourism Ethics.

The majorities of participants in the 6th session of WTO Tourism Committee voted for Iran to host the 2nd CTE session expected to be held in October 2008, Mohammad-Ali Pakseresht told IRNA in Spanish capital, Madrid.

At the invitation of WTO President, Francesco Franjiali, Pakseresht has participated in Madrid session on behalf of the South Asian Countries.

The first session of Committee on Tourism Ethics is due to be held in Italy at a date to be determined by WTO.

The 6th two-day session of the WTO Committee on Tourism Ethics opened in the Spanish capital on Friday.

Addressing the session, Pakseresht outlined the stance of the South Asian countries on tourism ethics.

Referring to the Islamic-Iranian culture and civilization he outlined Iran's activities in the field of tourism industry for the participants representing the five continents of the world.

Fifteen million tourists have visited different parts of the country in six days (March 17-22), i.e. in three days (March 17-19) before Noruz (New Year) and in the first three days (March 20-22) of Noruz.

Director General of the Domestic Tourism Development Department and Deputy Head of the State Tourism Headquarters Jamshid Hamzezadeh told IRNA on Sunday that northeastern Razavi Khorassan Province topped the list for attracting more than 2,570,000 tourists in the period.

Hamzezadeh said Hormuzgan Province with 1,200,000 tourist and northern provinces of Mazandaran and Gilan with about one million tourist absorption followed Razavi Khorassan Province in the list

Iran-ICHHTO-Tourism Development
The chief of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei, said on Saturday that the new Iranian year will be the year of developing Iran tourism industry inside and outside of the country.

ICHHTO department in Razavi Khorasan quoted Mashaei as saying that the Iranian government is due to promote tourism industry and also utilize the tourism potentials to attract foreign tourists from around the world.

Stressing the need to expand Iran's relations with the world countries especially with the neighboring states in the Persian Gulf, Mashaei said that Iran's international achievements in many fields particularly in its nuclear program have had positive outcome for the country.

He also referred to the growth in number of foreign tourists visiting Iran as another achievement terming it a golden opportunity for the country.

Day 01
Early morning drive to Varamin, En route you visit. Qasr-e-Bahram Carvansaraei and have food refreshment, then drive towards the salt lake. After passing through black and Sefid-Ab mountains, we arrive at Maranjab Carvansaraei, where you can enjoy tasty drinking water flowing over the Spring in the middle of the desert. O/N in camp.
Day 02
After breakfast, we drive towards Kashan, En route we pass through Arghonon (a visit to the most astonishing view of flocks of camels), beautiful sandy hills and witness marvelous landscape. PM tour of Kashan. Overnight Kashan.
Day 03
We complete Kashan city tour, then depart for Natanz En route, we visit the most famous and beautiful mountainous village of Abyaneh.O/N Natanz.

Day 04
Early morning drive towards Naeen, One of the most beautiful cities with desert features which attracts those who love profound inexplicable beauties of the nature O/N.
Day 05
Drive towards the central desert of Iran. (Jandagh) Through Anarak, En route , we could visit small villages, such as Choupanan, with special character houses tailored for tropical of climate. Overnight in Jandagh in camp.
Day 06
Morning tour of citadel in Jandagh ,then the route will take us towards Khour , where we could visit traditional water reservoir , then drive towards Bayazeh , there we could see one of the oldest and most beautiful castles and garden of dates 7 oranges , later on we return to Khour and Jandagh and camp there.
Day 07
Drive back to Tehran through Semnan, we end our tour in Tehran or extend for other program.

This area is located near the North Western corner of Iran's vast and arid central basins between the Dasht-e-Kavir (Salt Desert) and the Salt lake. observing animals within 150 Km of capital, together with the resurgence of plant life, give rise to the hope that some day the area will be a natural history show case of a living desert, O.N in tent.
Day 11- Tehran
Drive to Lar Protected Area, where is located at the s***t of the highest mountain in Iran (Damavand Peak). It consists of mountainous, terrestrial aquatic ecosystems. Minimum elevation is 2400 m above sea level. Vagetation cover consists of four types including grass steps, tragacanthic (thorn cushion), shrublands and high mountain vegetation (Alpine meadows and perennial herbs). Lar provides suitable habitat for around 100 species of endemic and migratory birds such as ; Caspian snowcock, Chukar partridge, Eagles, Kastrel, Crane, Herons& Flamingo . Mammals of this area include; wild Goat , Alborz reed sheep , Bear, Leopard, Hyena, O.N in tent.
Day 12-Tehran
Morning in Lar , PM drive to Tehran, we end our Tour or extend for other programs.
