GIRL IS 150% INDIAN
salam everyone,
i am an afghan and have to say i was disappointed to see that shahab spoilt a lovely song by using an indian girl instead of an afghan one (i mean come on..what was the whole point?) there are plenty of afghan girls around, he didn't even have to look further then California (where he resides)
i wonder whether the girl even knew what he was saying...it's just like having a chinese girl go to africa and suddenly become 'dokhtare africa'
the girl from the clip is definately NOT afghan..for all those people in doubt. she doesn't look afghan, she's not wearing afghan clothes and for god's sake afghans DO NOT dance like that...she is 150% indian!!! (oh and she doesn't fit in)
shahab could have done a little homework before he shot the clip..he could have just googled what afghan or 'kabuli' women might wear insteading of putting his trust in an indian wearing a sari...oh well too late now
they could have changed the title of the song to 'dokhtari hindi in a red sari'
i don't hate indians, but this was intimidating afghan women-because an indian woman will never be afghan and vice versa.
but regardless it's shahab's first album and he is still getting there...he has a great voice and will become very successful...hopefully!
