Tori Spelling Home to Ailing Dad's Side

Television mogul Aaron Spelling, who suffered a stroke on Sunday, will soon have more support from his family: Daughter Tori and new husband Dean McDermott are on their way home from Canada to be with him, and son Randy will return from filming in Miami.

"Dean and I will be traveling back to Los Angeles to be by my dad's side," Tori Spelling tells PEOPLE exclusively. "We thank everyone for their love and concern for my dad during this difficult time. It means so much."

Aaron Spelling, 83, whose hits range from Dynasty to Beverly Hills, 90210, "is resting at home under a doctor's care," his rep, Kevin Sasaki, tells PEOPLE. Spelling suffered the stroke in his home, where wife Candy Spelling has been with him.

Sasaki said he didn’t yet know the severity of Spelling’s condition, but told the Associated Press that he wasn't aware of any paralysis.

As for reports of a rift in the family, "the truth is that we love each other very much," Randy Spelling said in a statement. "This isn't Dynasty; this is real life, and we're dealing with my dad's medical condition with his best interests at heart, and as a family."

In his long career, Spelling produced some 200 shows, including such hits as Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, Vegas, Hart to Hart, Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, Fantasy Island, Melrose Place and Charmed.

      Photographer Arrested at Maddox's School

A celebrity photographer was arrested Thursday after he was found hiding in the bushes outside a daycare center attended by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son, Maddox.

Clint Brewer, 25, was trying to take pictures of the 4-year-old, Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, tells the Associated Press.

It was not clear whether Maddox or either of his parents were present at the time.

The owner of the Malibu property that houses the daycare center made a citizen's arrest, according to Lt. Crystal Miranda of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Brewer was then detained by a security guard for Pitt and Jolie at about 10:30 a.m. before being arrested on suspicion of trespassing and jailed briefly by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies, Reuters reports. He was released on $1,000 bail.

According to a sheriff's spokesperson, he will be ordered to appear in court to face the trespassing charge, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of a year in county jail.

Jolie, Pitt and their children returned to Malibu last week after Jolie, 31, gave birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt in Namibia on May 27. The couple are also parents to daughter Zahara, 17 months.

Both children's surnames were legally changed to Jolie-Pitt in December after Pitt, 42, announced his intention to adopt them.

        Aaron Spelling Dies at 83

TV mogul Aaron Spelling, whose unparalleled string of hits ran from The Mod Squad in the '60s to today's 7th Heaven, died in his mansion near Beverly Hills on Friday. He was 83.

Spelling passed away at 6:25 p.m., his publicist, Kevin Sasaki, tells PEOPLE. The cause of death was complications from the stroke he'd suffered on June 18.

Spelling's wife, Candy, and son Randy, 27, were by his side. It was not known whether his actress daughter Tori, 33, was present.

On Wednesday, Tori Spelling told PEOPLE she and her new husband, Dean McDermott, planned to fly home from Canada to be with her father. "Dean and I will be traveling back to Los Angeles to be by my dad's side," she said.

The next day, Randy Spelling addressed rumors of family tensions. "The truth is that we love each other very much," he said in a statement. "This isn't Dynasty; this is real life, and we're dealing with my dad's medical condition with his best interests at heart, and as a family."

In his long career, Spelling produced some 200 shows, including Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, Vegas, Hart to Hart, Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, Fantasy Island, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place and Charmed.

Asked by Time in 2001 if 7th Heaven were his last-ditch bid to avoid going to hell, Spelling replied, "When the concept came up, I had the same question: Why's a Jewish kid from Texas doing a series about a minister?"

After graduating from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Spelling went to New York to become an actor, and met – and married, in 1953 – actress Carolyn Jones, later famous as Morticia Addams on TV's The Addams Family.

The couple settled in California and, by the time they divorced in 1964, Spelling had made a name for himself as a TV writer. Among his first business partners was TV star Danny Thomas, and together they launched Spelling's first hit, The Mod Squad, in 1968.

While most of Spelling's shows were wildly popular, few could match the frenzy sparked by Charlie's Angels, which debuted in 1976, popularized the word "jiggle," made a star of Farrah Fawcett and eventually was aired in some 90 countries, from Sri Lanka to Bangladesh.

"I can't say this of every show I ever produced, but I loved Charlie's Angels," Spelling told PEOPLE in 1988. "It put us over the top and made our company financially secure and incredibly desirable."

But his imprint on the TV landscape was not his only landmark. In 1983, at cost of $45 million, Spelling built what is still said to be the largest single-family dwelling in California: a 56,000-sq.-ft. house called the Manor, located in Holmby Hills, just down the block from Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion – and the scene of Christmas parties so lavish that Spelling once had the prop department from Dynasty blanket the grounds with genuine snow.

The six-acre estate houses four bars, three kitchens, a theater, a gym, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a doll museum, a separate servants' wing, a 6,000-sq.-ft. guest house, eight double-car garages, tennis courts, a gazebo, a greenhouse, 12 fountains, six formal gardens and a room just for gift wrapping.

That room is said to be a favorite of Spelling's second wife, Candy, 60, whom he married in 1968. Both of their children acted in their father's series: Tori (full name: Victoria Davey Spelling) in 90210 and Randy (Randall Gene Spelling) in Sunset Beach.

Growing up in such a lavish environment, Tori told PEOPLE in 1992, made her once declare that "I never wanted anything handed to me."

"But I didn't realize, as I do now, how proud of my dad and his wealth I should be," she continued.

Justin & Cameron: Still Going Strong

Longtime couple Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are still going strong, according to a source who vehemently denies a published report that they have split up.

"The couple are in fact very much together, as he prepares for the release of his album," says the source, who is close to Timberlake. "Of course, made-up sources have had them breaking up, getting married and having a baby ever since they began dating over three years ago."

Earlier this week, a report claimed that Timberlake – who is slated to release his new album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, on Sept. 12 – had broken up with Diaz. The story cited their age difference – he's 25, she's 33 – one of the reasons why.

However, PEOPLE reports in its new issue that the pair were spotted having a late lunch just last Thursday at Asia de Cuba at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles. "They were very much focused on each other," says an observer.

Nicole & Keith Say 'I Do'

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have gotten married, reps for the couple have confirmed to PEOPLE.

The all-candlelight ceremony took place just after sundown Sunday night at Sydney, Australia's Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick's Estate at Manly.

Guests at the black-tie event included Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Rupert Murdoch.

Kidman's wedding party consisted of her sister Antonia, who was her maid of honor, and daughter Isabella, 13, who was her bridesmaid. Antonia's daughter, Lucia, was a flower girl. On the groom's side were Urban's brother Shane, who served as best man, and longtime buddy Marlon Holden, who produced Urban's first solo album in 1991.

Kidman wore a dress by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga. Her father, Antony, walked her down the aisle under the dramatic glow of a spotlight. She kept her veil on throughout the ceremony, only lifting it when it came time to say the (very traditional) vows.

The flowers were white freesias, gardenias and carnations arranged by Sydney florist Saskia Havekes.

Kidman got ready at her home in Sydney's Darling Point with Isabella and son Connor, 11, and drove to Manly with her father in a white Rolls Royce. Bella and Antonia rode just ahead of them in a matching white Rolls Royce.

Nicole Kidman: 'I Would Love to Have a Baby'
"Nicole cried all the way to the church in the car and then she cried all during the ceremony and had to wipe her eyes under the veil," a guest tells PEOPLE. "It was the most emotional and beautiful ceremony. Nicole looked ethereal with her veil floating, like a vision in white. ... Keith cried when he looked at her.

"It was so intense," the guest says. "When her veil was lifted, he moved right in and he grabbed her and kissed her. It was a long, passionate kiss. (Then) everything went from being quiet and elegant and intense to really loud, like we were suddenly at a soccer game. There was screaming and hollering and such excitement.

"But when Nicole and Keith looked at each other it was like they were the only two people in the room. They are so deeply in love. It was the most incredible wedding."

In lieu of gifts, guests were asked to donate to the Sydney Children's Hospital.

Both Jackman and Crowded House's Neil Finn performed at the reception, which had a "passion" theme and red color scheme – including red carnations hanging from huge chandeliers and red roses on the tables.

Later in the evening, the newlyweds released a statement: "We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes."

              Kidman and Urban in February
CREDIT: KEVIN MAZUR / WIREIMAGEThe nuptials followed nearly a week of high-profile preparation. On Monday, the couple issued a statement saying they had returned to their native Australia to get married. "We are very happy to be back in Australia. We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends."

Over the next several days, wedding guests including Jackman, Watts, Isabella and Connor and Urban's parents and brother arrived Down Under for the celebration.

"I'm very excited for my friend," Watts told reporters upon her arrival. Jackman, who arrived later that day, joked, "Wedding? What wedding?"

Kidman and Urban's openness about their nuptials was unusual for the normally fiercely private stars. But the couple have taken the spotlight in stride, even sending cold beer on Tuesday to the paparazzi camped outside Kidman's home. On the case of 24 bottles of Victoria Bitter beer was a note: "Enjoy! Nicole & Keith."

Kidman first confirmed the couple's engagement to PEOPLE in May, saying that Urban was not just her boyfriend – "he's actually my fiancé." She added, "He's very good to me."

Kidman, 39 and Urban, 38, met in January 2005 at a gala dinner in Los Angeles honoring noted Australians. (Kidman was born in Hawaii and Urban in New Zealand, but both were raised in Australia.) By summer, they'd begun a low-profile courtship.

In July, PEOPLE reported that they'd gone on a motorcycle ride in Woodstock, N.Y., and had lunch at Elijah's Cafe, a natural-foods restaurant. In September, they spent time together in Litchfield County, Conn., dining in the garden of the Good News Cafe in Woodbury. "They looked very together," said one onlooker.

CREDIT: JACKSON LEE / ADMEDIA; EVAN AGOSTINI / GETTY (INSET)Kidman was also a fixture on Urban's "Keith's Alive in '05" tour, during which "they were inseparable," a source close to the singer told PEOPLE. "You could see something real special was going on between them."

In November, Kidman was photographed wearing a diamond on her ring finger while walking arm-in-arm with Urban in Boston. Of a rumored engagement, Urban's rep, Paul Freundlich, said at the time, "Right now it's just a rumor. When and if there's a statement, we'll make that public."

That month, the couple – and their parents – spent Thanksgiving at Urban's mansion in Nashville's posh Green Hills neighborhood.

They spent the early part of this year nesting in Nashville, dining out with neighbor LeAnn Rimes and hanging out at the local Starbucks.

"They're very loving together," a Nashville source told PEOPLE in April. "They're very doting. He holds her hand the whole time and pats the top of her other hand at the same time. It's adorable."

Said a source close to Kidman, "They seem great together. Real love just happens. You don't plan it. And that's what happened with them. They fell in love."

This is the first marriage for Urban and the second for Kidman, who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.

                Marcia Cross Gets Married

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross and stockbroker Tom Mahoney were married on Saturday, PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively.

"It was a beautiful ceremony," a rep for Cross tells PEOPLE. "They're very happy."

The bride wore a gown by Reem Acra at the ceremony, which took place before about 200 guests at the Church of Our Savior Episcopal Parish in San Gabriel, Calif.

In lieu of bridesmaids, Cross had seven flower girls, ranging in age from 3 to 12 – the children of some of her closest friends.

This is the first marriage for both. Cross, 44, and Mahoney, 48, were first spotted together in March 2005, when they took a weekend ski trip to Deer Valley, Utah.

They became engaged that August. "She's over the moon," Cross's Housewives costar Eva Longoria told PEOPLE at the time. "I'm so excited for her. It's so beautiful to see her this happy and so in love."

Cross told PEOPLE later that month that she knew Mahoney was "a keeper" when he played word games with her in bed the night before the Emmy nominations were announced in July (she snagged her first nod).

"He told me the next day he was doing it so I wouldn't be nervous," she said. "It was very sweet."

She even credited Mahoney with her radiant looks. "My favorite beauty product is my fiancé, Tom," she told PEOPLE in April. "It's true. I think that beauty comes from being happy and connected to the people we love, and his love makes me feel beautiful."

So will Cross – who plays Bree Van De Kamp on Housewives – be anything like her perfectionist character? Don't count on it.

                "I don't cook," she told PEOPLE. "I'm oh-so messy, it's awful."

                  Tori Spelling Reconciled with Dad

Tori Spelling made peace with her father, TV titan Aaron Spelling, before his death Friday from complications from a stroke.

"I'm grateful I recently had the opportunity to reconcile with my father and most grateful we had the chance to tell each other we loved one another before he passed away," she tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"It's a true blessing to have had a parent that loved me unconditionally. He had a heart as big as his talent and today, along with many others, I mourn his loss. He was a great man and even better father."

Aaron Spelling passed away at his home near Beverly Hills. He was 83.

Priest: Nicole & Keith Have 'Mature Love'

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, who will marry country singer Keith Urban this weekend in Sydney, may have at last found true love, said the Catholic priest who will perform the ceremony.

Jesuit Father Paul Coleman, who met the couple this week to discuss their marriage, expected on Sunday, said he had a "good feeling about their chances."

Coleman said Kidman, 39, and Urban, 38, had a "mature love."

"You've got to rely on their maturity and knowledge of each other, and I'm impressed," the priest told Australian media on Friday.

Coleman said he would lecture the couple on the secret of keeping love alive. "Make time for each other, do romantic things together and never part without kissing," he said.

Kidman, who won a 2002 Academy Award for her role in the film The Hours, had a very public divorce from actor Tom Cruise in 2001, ending their 10-year marriage. The two have remained friends, sharing custody of their two children.

Kidman and Urban, both Australians but born overseas, met in 2005 at an awards dinner held by the Australian government in Los Angeles honoring the two of them.

They arrived in Sydney on Monday, saying they were to marry, sparking a paparazzi frenzy to gain a photograph of the couple and discover their wedding venue.

Kidman installed security at her Sydney harborside home, but has remained accessible, delivering a daily photo opportunity. She and Urban even sent the paparazzi case of cold beer.

But the paparazzi have not been so friendly toward each other, with two photographers fighting outside a Sydney children's hospital Kidman was visiting.

By Friday, most media outlets had agreed the venue must be Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel inside the old St Patrick's Catholic seminary overlooking Manly Beach.

The reason? A large white marquee had been erected during the week. But there was no official confirmation.

What was revealed was that the wedding will be a simple affair. "It's a simple Catholic marriage and will not be overly long. It will be inside an hour," said Coleman, who has been a friend of the Kidman family for 30 years.

"It will be the traditional prayers, quite simple, but very sincere," Coleman told The Australian newspaper.

The Sydney Morning Herald said a source close to the wedding had revealed that the statuesque blonde Kidman's dress would be minimalist, white, with a hint of old-world romance.

The Australian newspaper said a Sydney Symphony Orchestra quartet would play as Kidman walked down the aisle, while The Daily Telegraph said Urban would serenade his new wife.

Urban won a Grammy in 2006 for best male country vocal performance on the song "You'll Think of Me."

Guests include Naomi Watts, star of King Kong and longtime Kidman friend, X-Men star Hugh Jackman's wife Deborra-Lee Furness and possibly Russell Crowe. Kidman's children, Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11, will be bridesmaid and usher.

Patricia Arquette, Thomas Jane Get Married

Emmy-winning Medium star Patricia Arquette tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, actor Thomas Jane, this past weekend, the actress's rep tells PEOPLE.

"It was a small, intimate celebration with close family," says Arquette's spokesperson. They were wed at the Palazzo Contarini in Venice, Italy.

The couple first became engaged in 2002 and have a 3-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope.

This is the second marriage for both. Jane, 37, was previously married to actress Aysha Hauer, the daughter of Rutger Hauer. The actor's credits include roles in The Punisher, Under Suspicion and Magnolia.

Arquette, 38, has a 17-year-old son, Enzo, from a relationship with musician Paul Rossi. She was also wed to Nicolas Cage, though nine months after their 1995 wedding they reportedly separated, only to continue appearing in public together as a couple.

In 1996, two months after their split, lawyers drew up legal separation papers for the Cages, though their divorce was not finalized until 1998.

                        Frasier's Best Friend 'Eddie' Dies

Moose, the feisty Jack Russell terrier who played Eddie for 10 years on TV's Frasier, has died, his trainer Mathilde Halberg tells PEOPLE.

"He was 16-and-a-half years old, and he just had an incredible charisma and was a such a free spirit," said Halberg. Moose, considered the Lassie of the '90s, died Thursday night of old age at Halberg's Los Angeles-area home.

Moose retired from showbiz when he was 10, and, although he also played a starring role in the 2000 Frankie Muniz-Kevin Bacon feature My Dog Skip (as the older Skip), he was best known for stealing scenes from Kelsey Grammer on the long-running Emmy-winning NBC sitcom.

"He was always trying to put Frasier in uncomfortable circumstances," said his trainer, who had rescued him in the early 1990s.

"I saved him from the pound. His owners called me as a last resort," Halberg recalled. "He was extremely mischievous, always escaping, chewing up things and running off. When he killed a neighbor's cat and chased some horses, that was it."

Not that anyone who owns a Jack Russell would find such behavior surprising. "But then," remembered his trainer, "he began his career, and he will never be forgotten."

Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige Win Big at BETs

Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx and Chris Brown were all double winners at Tuesday's Black Entertainment Television's Awards in Los Angeles.

At the Damon Wayans-hosted event, which opened with Beyoncé performing her new song, "Déja Vu," alongside beau Jay-Z, Blige was named top female R&B artist.

In a tie, she, West and Foxx shared the prize for video of the year. Blige won for "Be Without You," which features Terrence Howard, who was named best actor. West and Foxx took the video honor for "Gold Digger," which was also chosen as best collaboration. The megahit also won a Grammy this year.

"Love to all black people," a jubilant Foxx told the Shrine Auditorium crowd. Backstage, the Ray Oscar winner talked about kissing American Idol's Fantasia during their duet performance of "DJ Play a Love Song."

"It was nice," he told reporters. "She has the nicest lips. We kind of halfway planned it but the kiss got a little interesting. It was fun, dramatic and I hope to do it again. I think I felt a little tongue."

When West won, he told the audience, "Y'all are stepping up black music. This is the best music right here, and we've got to keep on giving it to them like that."

Brown received the viewer's choice award, for his "Excuse Me Miss," as well as the best new artist prize.

Chaka Khan, recognized for lifetime achievement, accepted the honor as Stevie Wonder, Prince, India.Arie and Yolanda Adams joined her on stage for a five-song celebration.

Missy Elliott, who recently signed on to make a big-screen version of her life story, won for best female hip-hop artist. Backstage, she said of the project, "I won't be playing myself in the movie, but I'll be behind the scenes in some capacity."

T.I. won the male hip-hop artist trophy and dedicated it to everyone "who been told they can't do it."

Prince, who closed the show with his song "3121," won for male R&B artist. "This was unexpected," he said. "I appreciate it, nonetheless."

Among the other notable events of the evening: Lil' Kim's brother and mother made an announcement in the press room that the rap artist, currently serving time for lying to a grand jury about a shootout at a New York radio station, has qualified for early release and will leave the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia this 4th of July. She was originally scheduled to be set free Aug. 2.

Star Jones Reynolds Gone – Barbara Walters 'Betrayed'

As PEOPLE.com reported Tuesday night, Star Jones Reynolds did not return to work on The View Wednesday after being asked by ABC to stay away.

Barbara Walters, the show's creator, told PEOPLE on Tuesday that she felt "betrayed" by Reynolds's comments to the magazine. "My contract was not renewed for the tenth season," Reynolds told PEOPLE. "I feel like I was fired."

Reynolds added that she got the news her contract wouldn't be renewed just days before reports surfaced that Rosie O'Donnell – one of her most vocal critics – would be joining The View in the fall.

On Wednesday's episode of The View, Walters elaborated on the controversy: "We didn’t expect her to make this statement yesterday. She gave us no warning."

Walters then went on to explain that Reynolds had known "for months" that she would not be returning in the fall, and that the network had given her time to exit the show with "dignity."

Walters's on-air statement echoed what she told PEOPLE Tuesday: "Bill Geddie (The View's coexecutive producer) and I said to her, 'Handle this any way you want. You can say anything about a new job, you can say anything about a new road. Whatever you say, we'll back you up. We will never say that your contract was not renewed.'"

On Wednesday's program, Walters went on to say, "It is becoming uncomfortable for us to pretend that everything is the same at this table. And therefore, regrettably, Star will no longer be on this program."

As for where she'll go next, Jones Reynolds said Tuesday, during her final appearance on The View, "I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm absolutely sure who holds the future."

NASCAR's Jeff Gordon to Marry Model

NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon is engaged to Belgian model Ingrid Vandebosch, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.

Gordon, 34, and Vandebosch reportedly met on the set of the movie Taxi, in which Vandebosch played a bank robber and Gordon made an unbilled cameo appearance.

Gordon announced the couple's engagement on June 24 at California's Infineon Raceway, just north of San Francisco, where he is the current top driver, according to local news reports.

Gordon and his first wife, Brooke Sealy, divorced in 2003 after nine years of marriage.

                                Lost's Emilie de Ravin Weds

Lost star Emilie de Ravin married actor Josh Janowicz on Monday in Melbourne, Australia, PEOPLE has confirmed.

This is the first marriage for de Ravin and Janowicz, both 24. The couple met "through friends," de Ravin told PEOPLE in March, "which is the best way to meet someone, isn't it? We've been together nearly four years."

De Ravin added that she'd always wanted a small wedding. "I'd never have a large wedding," she said. "That's not the kind of person either of us is. We're both quite low-key people."

Indeed, De Ravin's rep, Jeff Raymond, tells PEOPLE that to his knowledge, none of her Lost castmates were present at the couple's intimate nuptials.

An Australia native, de Ravin lives in Los Angeles with Janowicz and commutes to Lost's Oahu, Hawaii, set.
L.A. is where my life is right now," she told PEOPLE last year. "We have a house together, we have dogs. I'm a real homebody, so it means a lot to me to be home. Everyone (at the show) is very understanding. They know if they were in my situation they would do the same thing."

Both actors recently had roles in indie films, De Ravin in Brick and Janowicz in The Chumscrubber.
