Daniel Dae Kim 'Deeply Ashamed' After DUI Arrest

Daniel Dae Kim, the Lost star arrested in Hawaii Thursday on a DUI charge, says he's sorry.

"I am deeply ashamed and embarrassed by the events of Thursday morning," the actor says in a statement to TMZ. "It saddens me to know that I jeopardized the welfare of the kind people of Hawaii, a community that I love and call my home.

"It is my intention to cooperate fully with the police and I am grateful to them for their sensitivity throughout this matter," Kim adds. "To my friends, family, colleagues and fans, thank you for your kind words of support. To those I have disappointed I can only ask that you accept my heartfelt apologies."

Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon on the ABC series, was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday morning for allegedly driving drunk in Hawaii, where the show is filmed. He's the latest Lost actor to be charged with drunk driving – Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez were busted on DUI charges in 2005.

Renée Zellweger: I Can Empathize With Britney

Renée Zellweger, who fled Los Angeles because of the paparazzi, says she sees how celebrities such as Britney Spears can buckle under the pressure.

"What people don't understand is that [the photographers] didn't just run into Britney that day," she tells Extra. "It's like having someone jump on your back in the morning and stay with you until you go to bed at night. And even then, hovering over your pillow and taking photographs. ... I defy anyone to try to keep it all together all the time under those circumstances."

The Oscar winner, who voices a main character in the new Bee Movie, told Reader's Digest in its latest issue that she left L.A. for New York to escape that kind of harassment. She elaborates further in the Extra interview.

"There's the biological element that you don't consider," Zellweger, 38, says. "Being hunted. Literally hunted. And they don't follow the rules just because the light's red. And they won't stop."

Zellweger hit her own breaking point, and took refuge in New York City and Connecticut. "Rather than live it and not be content, I'll just go," she decided. "And if it comes here, I'll just keep going."

Javier Bardem Reveals What Kind of Woman He Likes

Javier Bardem, who stars in Love in the Time of Cholera as a man who spends his life obsessing over an unattainable woman, says that, in reality, he likes women who are comfortable in their own skin.

"For me, the most attractive woman is the person who is at peace with herself – calm but not boring," Bardem, 38, tells Parade magazine. "No matter how good that person looks, when I see somebody at peace, that is sexy to me."

Bardem, a self-described "romantic" who has been linked to compatriot Penélope Cruz, also says he's not afraid of strong women. "I've always been surrounded by strong female personalities, and I respect them. I think they are far stronger in the soul than men."

Bardem tells the magazine he is currently single – though he and Cruz were spotted soaking up the sun together on vacation in the Maldives and hugging in New York last month.

Cruz costars with Bardem in Woody Allen's next film Vicky Cristina Barcelona – and has denied that she and Bardem are anything more than friends.

As for his newest films, Bardem, who plays a killer in the upcoming No Country for Old Men, says it's easier to play a lover than a fighter. "The hard part for me wasn't showing my body – I've done that plenty," Bardem says of Cholera's love scenes. "It was shooting the gun that I hated. In Europe, we have no problem doing love scenes but more trouble doing violence."

Lance Armstrong & Ashley Olsen's Latest N.Y. Hookup

Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen appear to be getting friendly: The unlikely twosome have met up at least twice this week while the former Tour de France champ is in town for the New York Marathon, sources tell PEOPLE.

The pair first shared a special moment on Monday night, getting close at the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Park Hotel. (The rendezvous was well-documented in New York's newspapers on Wednesday.)

An observer tells PEOPLE: "Lance was hanging with her, definitely. [Olsen] was very flirtatious, and was sitting on his lap."

Another source said Olsen was with a group and "hanging out, having a good time."

Armstrong, 36, and Olsen, 21, reunited again in the wee hours Wednesday at hip restaurant the Waverly Inn. (Armstrong was there earlier that evening with Texas pal Owen Wilson.)

The retired cyclist and fashion designer Tory Burch recently broke up after a year-long relationship. A rep for Armstrong had no comment.

Julia Roberts gives the world a glimpse of her 5-month-old son Henry Daniel Moder when the actress appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show next week.

"There's been a lot of curiosity. There's not been a picture of him. I thought I would just show everybody," Roberts, 40, tells Winfrey on Monday's show as she turns over a snapshot.

Roberts appears on the show with Tom Hanks, her costar in the upcoming "Charlie Wilson's War.

Report: Britney Spears Not Allowed to Drive Kids

After being told that Britney Spears ran a red light with her young sons in the car, a judge ruled Friday that the pop star may no longer drive with the children, TMZ.com reports.

The sealed order came after a 90-minute hearing with lawyers for Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Attorneys declined comment on the reported ruling after the hearing.

"Orders were made. ... I can't discuss the content of those orders," says Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. "Documents have not been released by the court, and I don't know if they will be. The matter will be continued at a future date."

Spears's lawyer Anne Kiley told reporters afterwards that everything "was great."

At the request of Federline's attorney, Shane Partridge, the photographer who filmed subpeoned video of Spears's allegedly running a red light on Nov. 8 was also present, but he did not participate in the hearing.

"The tape of Britney running the red light was not viewed today, but it was a major point of the hearing," the source tells PEOPLE. "Britney's lawyers brought in an expert who argued that, for whatever reason, Britney could have made the turn through the red light."

Brad Pitt Drops Out of State Of Play

Brad Pitt has dropped out of the soon-to-be-shot film State of Play, according to Variety. Universal Pictures is already trying to replace the star. The original Nov. 15 production start date has come and gone, and the studio could begin losing other cast if it does not begin shooting in L.A. and D.C. soon.

The studio is already trying to replace Pitt. The story of a politico-turned-journalist whose loyalties are tested when he spearheads a newspaper's investigation into a murder is set to star Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn, along with Pitt's replacement.

Much of the problem, for Pitt, seems to stem from the fact that he wasn't happy with recent re-writes, and now, no more can be done during the writers strike. A rep for Pitt could not be reached. Universal issued this statement: "Brad Pitt has left the Universal Pictures production of State of Play. We remain committed to this project and to the filmmakers, cast members, crew and others who are also involved in making the movie. We reserve all rights in this matter."

                  Dennis Quaid's Newborn Twins Hospitalized

The newborn twins of Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly were hospitalized Tuesday in Los Angeles, reportedly in intensive care.

The actor's rep, Cara Tripicchio, declined to give a reason, but said in a statement: "Dennis and Kimberly appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers and hope they can maintain their privacy at this difficult time."

Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, who were born on Nov. 8, were accidentally given a major dose of the anti-coagulant heparin, TMZ.com reports.

The babies are in stable condition in the neo-natal intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, TMZ reports.

                  Hospital Apologizes
The hospital did not directly comment on the Quaid twins. But it released a statement saying that on Sunday a "preventable error" occurred with three unidentified patients receiving heparin.

"I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation, and we will continue to work with them on any concerns or questions they may have," said Dr. Michael L. Langberg, chief medical officer at Cedars.

He added: "This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai. Although it appears at this point that there was no harm to any patient, we take this situation very seriously."

According to Langberg, three unidentified patients had their IVs flushed with an overly high concentration of heparin, used to keep IV catheters from clotting.

"As a result of a preventable error, the patients' IV catheters were flushed with heparin from vials containing a concentration of 10,000 units per milliliter instead of from vials containing a concentration of 10 units per milliliter," said Langberg. "The error was identified by Cedars-Sinai staff, who immediately performed blood tests on the patients to measure blood clotting function."

Other patients were tested as a precaution, Langberg said.

In the end, two of the patients had to be given a drug to reverse the effects of the heparin to help restore blood clotting to normal, he said.

"Additional medical tests and clinical evaluation conducted on the two patients indicated no adverse effects from the higher concentration of heparin or from the temporary abnormal clotting function," Langberg said. "Doctors continue to monitor the patients."

Quaid's twins were born via a gestational carrier – a woman who carries another couple's baby conceived by the parents' own egg and sperm.

Dennis & Kimberly Quaid Sue Drug Company

Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly have sued the manufacturer of the drug Heparin, according to court documents filed in Cook County, Ill.

The lawsuit, which seeks more than $50,000 in damages, claims the Baxter Healthcare Corporation, makers of the anti-coagulant Heparin, failed to properly label vials of its product and that the 10-units-per-milliliter vial and the 10,000-units-per-milliliter are virtually identical.

The Quaids assert that the company knew of previous dosage mix-ups, yet failed to recall shipments of the drug or properly warn hospitals of the dangers.

The couple's children, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born Nov. 8. They were hospitalized Nov. 20 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after accidentally being given 1,000 times the recommended dose of Heparin on Nov. 18.

The twins "suffered and will continue to suffer injuries" from the accident, the suit alleges.

"On a negligence scale of one to 10, Baxter Corporation gets a 10," the Quaids' lawyer, Susan E. Loggans, tells PEOPLE. "They knew medication errors due to product labeling resulted in death but failed to recall the drug. Each year there's 1.5 million medication errors in America – it is a national epidemic."

A spokeswoman for Baxter, Erin Gardiner, tells PEOPLE: "We have not been served with a lawsuit related to this incident, so we cannot comment on the lawsuit itself.

Gardiner added: "This is not a product issue, the issue here is improper use of a product. Heparin is one of the most commonly used generic drugs in a hospital setting manufactured by seven companies in standard vials. It plays a vital role in the treatment of thousands of patients everyday when administered and used properly."

In terms of the labeling, "Baxter strives to clearly differentiate products and dosages, but no amount of differentiation will replace the value of clinicians carefully reading and reviewing a drug name and dose."

Owen Wilson & Woody Harrelson's Vacation Moves to Miami

                      Road trip!

After spending the past week in Peru, Owen Wilson and good pal Woody Harrelson took their vacation to Miami Beach on Friday.

Wilson, 39, met up with Harrelson and art gallery owner pal Tony Shafrazi for a guys' night out at Nobu at the Shore Club, where the trio enjoyed a late-night dinner at a corner table. Wilson and Harrelson fit into the Miami scene perfectly – both wearing white button-down shirts and Wilson sporting a beige baseball cap – and a pair of female admirers came over to the table to introduce themselves.

The ladies took a seat at the table and chatted with the group for a few minutes before leaving them to their guy time. According to an onlooker, "The guys were joking, having a good time and just telling stories and talking with each other. They were all slouching against cushions at their table, they were really relaxed."

The guys also were spotted later that night at Sky Bar at the Shore Club and the newly opened night spot, The Florida Room at the Delano – where they were seated next to baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

Jack Black to Be a Dad Again

Jack Black and wife Tanya Haden are adding another baby to their family, the actor said Saturday.

"Yes, she's expecting," Black told reporters at the Be Kind Rewind press day at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. He declined to name a due date.

The couple, who eloped in March 2006, are already parents to a 1½-year-old boy.

So far, Black says he's taken on parenting with a "day-by-day" strategy. "I've been told that two children is three times as hard as one child," he joked, "but then strangely three children is easier than one."

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden Have a Girl

Nicole Richie and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden are the parents of a daughter, the couple's rep at Handprint Entertainment tells PEOPLE.

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz.

"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," says the rep, who confirmed the birth to PEOPLE exclusively.

Richie, 26, said she was pregnant in July, telling Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America: "I would really want to be someone my child would look up to."

Later, Richie, who had a famously wild childhood, said the idea of parenthood had made her more mature. "When I found out that I was pregnant, there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot," she said.

As for Good Charlotte frontman Madden, 28, he told PEOPLE in November he was looking forward to being a dad. "Having a baby is the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me, and to us," he said.

And the new parents plan to teach their little one the value of generosity. In December, the couple started the Richie Madden Children's Foundation to help the less fortunate. "We want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there's a responsibility to help the community," Madden said at the time.

The couple have yet to set a wedding date, but in September Madden said "marriage is in our future" – he just wasn't sure when. "Right now our priority is our family and is the baby," he said. "That's all we've been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy."

Scarlett Johansson: 'I Am Engaged to Barack Obama'

Scarlett Johansson is a one-man kind of gal. That lucky (albeit unlikely) guy? Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

"I am engaged ... to Barack Obama," Johansson, 23, announced to Associated Press reporters as she returned from a her USO tour to the Persian Gulf. "My heart belongs to Barack, and that is who I am currently, finally, engaged to. Yes."

Joking Johansson, who stepped out for Obama at the Iowa caucus, was actually deflecting a question regarding whether she was engaged to fellow actor and current boyfriend Ryan Reynolds, the AP reports. Obama, 46, for the record, is happily married.

As for the attention she received overseas, she said, "Everybody that I met there was so incredibly friendly and polite and genuine and generous. "hey were so, so sweet. I mean, I was just amazed."

Eva Mendes Leaves Rehab – Temporarily

After several weeks in rehab, Eva Mendes has left the Cirque Lodge in Utah – but will be back.

"Eva is attending to some personal business in Los Angeles and intends to return to complete her treatment shortly," the actress's rep said in a statement Thursday.

Friday, when it was announced that Mendes, 33, was in the Utah facility, where Lindsay Lohan was also treated, her spokesperson told PEOPLE, "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support."

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Chinese-born actress Bai Ling was arrested for shoplifting at Los Angeles International Airport after a gift shop employee accused her of stealing two magazines and a pack of batteries, police said on Thursday.

Ling, who has appeared in such films as "The Crow" and "Red Corner," was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon after leaving the store with two tabloid magazines and the batteries, Los Angeles Airport Police spokesman Jim Holcomb said.

She was booked on suspicion of shoplifting the items worth $16, a misdemeanor, and ordered to appear in court on May 5, Holcomb said.

On her personal blog, the 37-year-old actress posted pictures of herself standing outside the Southwest Airlines terminal at LAX on Wednesday but did not mention the arrest.
