i just wanted to say that you cannot pertain a human act (e.g. lying) to one race only. To be prejudiced means to pre-judge someone/something, which is what is happening here). We are predicting the integrity of a race, which is not a right thing to do.

i find this whole thread offensive, because people are stereotyping iranians (i.e. all iranians who have a stall are liars). thats like saying "all americans commit adultery" and making a poll on it (it occurs in all countries; people commit it, regardless of race).

The sentence about the baazar should be re-phrased to something similar to "people who own a stall in a bazaar are dishonest", because then you are referring to traits of an individual who works in such an environment, and is not being directed towards any race. I have travelled to lots of countries in the middle east such as turkey, israel, UAE, and it happens everywhere.

The thread is about do iranian people lie? the answer is yes to a certain degree, its not about middle easterns or the human race in general!

It's just a fact we need to admit, alot of iranians people in society are compulsive liars, it maybe due to the restrictions they face socially and economically but it's certainly a reality specially with the young.

In some cases yes, in some cases no, its an age group thing imo and its root is from social problems in a closed society where certain things are forbidden! like if you want a job in iran's media you will have to be seriously pro regime, i know people working there are are supposedly pro regime but in reality their completely different. These are the social lies i'm talking about, lots of iranians lead double lives, their religious lives and their secular lives. It's not being iranian that makes them liars, its society that was created within iran that forces some to lie.
