if you actually tend to the needs of the governmental workers, regardless of what level of power they are at, then you dont have to worry about corruption. A good test for whether a solution works or not is whether it can be proposed to someone looking to help. If someone really wants to help Iran, what route would you give them? I already mentioned that private donation does not give any guarantees for the long run, and it is society that must be aware. My question is now what we can help society help itself. That's all.Take him and cut him out in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine,
that all the world will be in love with night,
and pay no worship to the garish sun

I think private donations can never be part or full solution for educational institution... it may help but it cannot give salvation.
In India we have more private schools than government or govt aided schools.... wat abt in Iran? ...here lower class and lower middle class people childrens are sent to govt schools coz they can't afford the money private schools demand and in govt schools lack in everything like infrastructure, teaching, sanity etc. The rich - poor divide starts from education itself here. Even uneducated parents kids are not admitted into schools here. Education is a big business here....
im sorry if im offtopic. just registering my thoughts....

no... you see, that's what I think the problem with the proposed solution is... I want to be clear: private donations are necessary. But they are very, very incomplete. They are immediate, but weak, and without any guarantee.
The question of a solution must focus on society (not only government), and how society and government can in conjunction start to attend to these issues so that, in combination with private donations, problems are actually solved.
On a practical point of view, most people won't donate unless there is social attention and guarantee towards the solution...
In Iran, there is a debate on this in government, and both perspectives are there. But again, it is a social issue as well that must work in conjunctions with government and private donations to solve the problem.Take him and cut him out in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine,

Iran's society for the most part recognizes the importance of education, but I am sure there are still plenty of people who might not see the significant role education plays in shaping the people of a country. So with that in mind, I would try emphasizing the importance of education for all citizens. Education is a means to enlighten and as such a safe learning environment should be provided. It would be nice if those of us out of Iran would help with private donations, but there are plenty of those who are well off in Iran who could help as well.
Private donations come from those who are in some way linked to the society, and although I see tham as different entities (the donators and society), I do see them as being connected, especially when there is a common goal in mind. As for a guarantee, nothing is guaranteed but as I mentioned before people want to see results and if they dont see them, they lose interest in helping. Here the job of the government becomes to show the donators and society that results are being accomplished.Last edited by golgol85; 02-09-2007, 12:59 PM.

Education sounds beautiful, but what do you mean by education?Take him and cut him out in little stars,

you need to put fundamental romatic ambitions aside
you need to embrace the new world order of globalization and free trade
you need to modernize your relationships and accept that you are part of the world economy, and theater
and stop being so stuburn
iran is a mini america in every sence
location, natural reourcas, history, culture, diversity, human capital, .................
